NOT A PENNY/CENT/DIME MORE.

Dear Microsoft,

After being a loyal gaming customer of yours from the launch of the original Xbox, it is with genuine sadness that I have now decided that enough is enough. The Xbox One is new. I accept that. There will be teething issues. I also accept that. But I fell
for the marketing again didn't I? A TV passthrough which as yet works well for nobody at all in the UK, an xbox live account I can't sign into, games costing over £50 which are in effect incomplete due to the growing craze of milking every title for every
single penny possible - which by the way is only fair when the original asking price is a few pounds, not £55!!! (I also accept that this particular outrage is not specific to your platform). "Media rich" TV features that (again in very small writing) are
at best months away from fruition in the UK. Need I go on?

I don't even feel the urge to switch my xbox one on. This is supposed to be around the time I can't switch it off! The games are buggy, there are memory leak problems, and in a nutshell, the fun is not there. Not at all. And worst of all, I feel I am significantly more
gutted that you are about it! If you are starting to lose your most staunch supporters, things are really not going well.

I switched on tonight hoping to hook up with a friend online for the first time since we both got an xbox one. And what happens? Well, not much. Sign in errors. Unknown error codes. No resolution at the moment. Just that last straw that has done untold damage
to the vertebrae of my camel.

So, I have promised myself this, and I hope many others will do too before much longer. Not one more penny will be spent by me on any of your products and services until you put right some of the things that have gone so very, very awry. At the very least if
you have not been able to fix them, at least publicise your progress towards fixing them. Make us feel that you care again, not just about the end goals around market share and revenue streams, but about the gamers who dug so deep in their pockets for something
that I feel is just not yet fit for purpose. I always felt cared about as a customer by Microsoft in the past. What has gone so wrong this time?

I would love to hear your views on how things are going for gamers here in the UK.

Kinect Lights

Are you talking about the 3 red dim lights in the center? If so its normal, I'm looking at mine now.

 

Question to those with the Kinectless version/who don't use Kinect

^Yep its not the same experience without it. auto sign in, code recognitions and voice command interface make Kinect worth every penny (cent) Then the fun game stuff as in BF4, Forza, DR3, Ryse all just add another element.
