Not a fanboy, heres why

After a few days with the beta, I have to say it has changed my mind on to buy this game or not...right now I will probably not and here is my simple opinion on why i am not believing the hype.

1. If you like HALO and Battlefield then you will love this game. However if you get frustrated easily and hate things like getting kicked in mid air and dieing then this is NOT the game for you. I have found that i do not seem to have the right skills or
temperament to play this game for a long time.

2. The graphics are nice but not the next gen we were all hoping for it looks no better then COD or any of the other games out there of the same caliber.

3. the Bots in this game really make more of a distraction then a advantage, they are cannon fodder, but then again why even have them?? Just to make up space?

Over all i find that i get killed easily and i can't kill anyone near as fast as they kill me...this is typical when you first start playing a new game, but to get sniped from across the map with an assult rifle vs my sniper seems frustrating...i can barely
see them but they magically turn and in a few burst i am dead..the directional radar seems to pin point you exactly, but mine never seem to be that enhanced...lol

Kicking...boy this is a problem for sure....I kick them they move, they kick me i am dead...i just don't get it...i even got kicked while jumping from a roof top and in mid air...bam I am dead...

It seems i suck terribly when i watch the kill cams...which is something i never like in a game...why so accurately expose someones advantage point? I shoot them, they turn, i die....no matter what gun i am using it seems it is always the wrong one. If you
find yourself someone that gets less enjoyment out of things like that then titanfall will be a short lived hyped game for you.

This brings me to the whole team player game....in Titanfall there really is no room to work as a team outside of Last Titan Standing...simply it is just to fast to really work as a team...so for all of you out there that really enjoy a team/squad based
game either avoid titanfall or only really play last titan standing...in the other modes it is more just everyone for them self....and it plays that way too much for a team based game in my opinion.

Yes Titanfall is a little different and it has some aspects that are unique, and because XBOX one has so little games it will sell a ton...and fairly granted there are a bunch of players out there that this is their kind of thing. But to me an several friends
the game is really missing something....either the maps are a little too complex to play to the team aspect, or the bots are just annoying, or something, but many of my friends all agree this is a game that might be a short lived title in our play list.

I think most of use will get it just because there is nothing else new to play, But we all predict this will be a easily found used game after the first month. So if you are not so sure, then wait a few weeks when the returns and trade in start coming into
stores and save some $$$

This is not the platform/xbox specific game we are all hoping for.

Overall a 6 out of 10

lmao just kidding, while i do like the game and do experince lag alot i just bear with it. im by far from a pro. i play for fun and the matters of life limit my game play. but do wanna say this is the worst i have ever had lag with call of duty. and ive
bought ever dlc since world at war but this is the first cod that i will not be buying the dlc im glad i waited on the season pass. oh yeah and all i play is hardcore so its even better i didnt with only 4 gamemodes to choose from

To each their own. I've never had problems with lag reguardless if I'm host or not. Granted I see occasional lag every once and a while maybe for a couple of seconds before the game finds a new host. I'm not saying there isn't any lag for some people because
I do see a lot of people complaining about it. I'm just not experienceing any. BTW, your 20 bucks isn't gonna make or break Treyarch or Activision.

 

It was a beta, the graphics should be way better after the game releases. I will also note alot of the things you talked about seem connection related, dunno. Maybe you have 1000 up and down FIOS, but maybe you are NOT very close to one of the dedicated
servers, dunno. I enjoy CoDs, BFs, and Ill enjoy Titanfall. The gunfights are actually really smooth and fast IMHO. Im not a Halo fan but this game looks like it to me, but plays like MW2, weird. Time will tell.

They are there to make this game easy for players who are not very good. The only issue with them is that they are so dumb right now that anyone will any sense will see they are not really doing much. Well, I guess not exactly. It is easy to figure out
where they are going to be in the beta maps. So, just quickly go their and take them out. Get your Titan quickly. The mow down more of them. I am getting 40+ bots a match and this is helping me score over 90 points every match. Really helps the team win.
And if you want you can use auto-eject on your Titan. That way when it is destroyed you eject, can cloak, and them run to another group of bots. It works great. And, if you find someone "protecting" the bots (have yet to see this but did read someone say
that was a strategy somewhere) just throw in a grenade(the electric type, cannot think of the name). I regularly get 4-6 bots with a grenade. 3 grenades can give you a ton of points early. I have had matches with 10-12 bots in the first 30-60 seconds. Get
my Titan first a lot as well.

 

This is why companies don't release betas. People play a few hours on 2 maps with limited equipment, limited game modes with a
BETA product and assume that this is all the full version is going to be.

Honestly it sounds like you thought you jumped online and thought you were going to be an untouchable force....and you got handled.

The more I played this game, the more I picked up on strategies and little nuances that make this game awesome.....and I repeat, this is just the beta. I was not psyched for this game before the beta. After roughly 10 hours of play, I can not wait for
this game to drop. I recommend you give it another try when it comes out.....or find a single player game because I have a feeling titanfall is going to draw a huge crowd. Once word gets out about how good this game is everyone is going to be playing it...and
you are going to be stubbornly playing some other game by yourself.

 

Not a team game? I ran with a few people and we communicated so well we got into a realoy good groove winning matches on Hardpoint. Most of your complaints seem to stem from you wanting to be super l337 MLG type of player right away. #GetBetter

 

Its only a beta right now. Anyways, I love this game and cant wait for it to come out. Day one buy for me

 

I can't disagree more with the OP. People need to realize this is NOT Call of Duty, or Battlefield, or Halo. This is a much needed breath of fresh air for the FPS genre. I would MUCH rather play just the BETA version of this game for the next year or 2 than
spend another minute on crappy Ghosts.

Like any game that isn't COD, it takes a bit to get the flow of the game, of your abilities inside the game, and the quirks and strategies that help you get better. Are you really gonna judge this game from a short time with a scaled-back BETA version? Do
you not get insta-killed in COD WAAAYYYYY worse then this game?

Did you really think you were gonna bring your god-like COD skills to this beta and wreck everyone with your awesomeness? Your post reeks of disappointment that this isn't what happened. I had a lot of the same complaints when Ghosts came out after being
a better than average player in BO2. I realized (after many frustrating games) that Ghosts is a different animal than BO2, just like TF is a different animal than, well, pretty much everything. Open your mind to different ways to play THIS game, not using
you BF or COD skills.

 

the bots are annoying and I hope they have a few more game modes without them. and I would appreciate a ffa mode and think it would be an interesting game to play it on. the beta to me ran smooth and I don't know if it was just because I have nothing else
to play on the one but ghost and bf4, but this game looked and played ok. things get a little fuzzy in up close titan battles, and I can never seem to be able to climb on titans backs because I always get stepped on and when I'm in a titan I always get killed
by someone getting on my back. I hope they have more unlocks and stuff to unlock in the real game or I do agree this game will get old soon. Hopefully it will keep me busy for a couple of months until elder scrolls online hits and then destiny in the fall.

I agree with Mitch and the like, ITS JUST A BETA they make them with the purpose of it having sucky elements so people speak up as you have and then they can fix it so its not like that come release day
