Normal players getting banned from playing Halo 5 online

I am a normal casual player. Halo 5 is about the only game I play online with Xbox One. I try to the best I can but I'm not a professional gamer. I sometimes betray team mates from throwing hand grenades in the wrong spot or something like that, I don't
even know when it is happening in the chaotic game play, it just happens. Sometimes I fall off a bridge or a ledge. The game calls it suicide, I call it a accident . Its a fast paced game, I'm not perfect. Sometimes I have to get up from the tv to do something
that cant wait, I get kicked out of the game for idling, that's understandable, but that should not not be a offense. None of those things should cause Microsoft from banning a person from a game . So, yeah, I got banned for a certain amount of time just
because I am a normal person playing in a very normal fashion. Now I'm frustrated and scared to even play the game any longer. Its not fun when you have to worry about every little movement you make.

On top of all that, now the matchmaking wont even work. No games will connect or launch. I have no idea if I'm still banned or not. I know nobody cares,

If you are banned this message will appear "At least one player in your fireteam is banned from playing Halo 5: Guardians"

This error occurs if one or more players in your fireteam (including yourself) is currently banned from playing Halo 5: Guardians. Players can receive bans automatically by leaving games in-progress, killing allied players, and more. Players with bans should
wait and retry at a later time when their ban has been cleared.

If you have been banned by 343 Industries, you'll see a message when you launch Halo 5: Guardians indicating that there is an enforcement in place. You can also check if there are any Xbox enforcements against your account by signing in at the Xbox Policy
& Enforcement site:

I am just wondering if you may have been banned from halo games in the past? This may affect your current accout. Have you tried playing Halo 5 on another account on your Xbox? Have you tried playing other games online?

 

We do care unfortunately there is nothing anyone in these forums can do about bans in game or otherwise. The stop gaps are put in place to avoid all kinds of abuse unfortunately the "normal" players are sometimes penalized because of the safeguards put
in place for the "abnormal" players. You can be assured if these were not in place playing on line would be a much worse nightmare. Happy Gaming!

 

Thanks but not happy gaming for me. It is just not fun playing the game with all those restrictions on your back. I deleted the game from my hard drive and don't intend on ever buying another Halo game again. I will avoid any game from 343 studios in the
future.

 

Definitely, a way to voice your dissatisfaction. Sometimes that is the only option available to us.
