I got a xbox one over the holidays to play COD. I am a noob so any advice on the best way to begin and what I should be doing to learn is greatly appreciated. Should I play online, should I stay away from online play till I learn? ?? Etc. Thanks for any
helpand advice

This year Christmas Noobs..

I had a match today with a Christmas NOOB who kept whining about his explosives getting hacked.

-

*Noob dies*

Noob: "OMG! I got killed with my own explosive!"

Me: "Yeah, that happens."

*Noob dies."

Noob: "OMG! It happened again!"

Me: "So stop using your bouncing betties."

Noob: "Why should I?"

Me: "Because the enemy's hacking them."

Noob: "They can do that!?"

Me: "Yes, they can."

Noob: " How?"

Me: "With a PDA."

Noob: "What's a PDA?"

Me: "A device that's used to take hack enemy explosives."

Noob: "How do I get 1?"

Me: "By leveling up & unlocking it with an unlock token."

*Noob dies*

Noob: "OMG! Stop hacking my explosives!"

Me: "Stop using your explosives & they won't have anything to hack."

Noob: "But I wanna use my betties!"

Me: "I don't think that's a good idea..."

*Noob dies*

Noob: "OMFG!"

*Noob dashboards*

*Game ends (Noob was host)*

Everybody else: "OMGWTF!"

 

poor little nooblet. you should really try some single player and training before you go online. those tryhards will eat you like you're butterscotch candy! I strongly advise you to turn on all aim assist functions as well since they all do anyway (filthy
scrubs).

if you are really starting new into the CoD universe you have a lot to learn and even more to hate as you do. I lost my CoD'ness a long time ago. while it can still be really fun and challenging it's the playerbase that's really toxic. you should also watch
up on some youtube vids and such for indepth help. Driftor is a great CoD toober.

 

Cod is as successful as it is because of how accommodating it is for noobs. Now matter how bad you suck, eventually someone will run out in front of you or you'll spawn behind him for easy kills that make you feel like you're doing good. Don't bother with
advice from people who try to act like cod should be an Olympic sport. Just run around and shoot people. You'll get the hang of it

 

Best tip for ya: Don't care about your K/D ratio.

 

Lol, exactly what ^ said, Otherwise if you're negative KD hurts your pride just Dashboard it. Seriously OP, there are so many desperate kids out there doing whatever it takes to look good. Like making sure your network is clogged so you're never host, Turbo
fire controllers, camping the entire map and not playing the objective. These things actually look bad and can't be much fun. Beware of people putting you down as being considered normal. Just play and don't take it too seriously, it can be good fun.

Edit: Oh, I just noticed you had ITZ in your name, ITZ are kind of known glitchers. If it's your name then sorry, I'm just saying that this can raise some red flags

 

Get an Xbox Live Gold subscription so you can play it online.

 

My long time COD player tips:

-Begin campain, to learn basics

- Try to step the difficulty up, no matter what, online players will be better than AI

- Defeat campain or when you feel you have a good grasp, get online

- If you're still worried, play team death match so you have teammates

- Stck to what play style suits you, whether it be run and gun, conservative and slow, on your guard, etc

- Learn what weapons and items fit you and your play style

- Lastly, the more you play the better you'll get

One more point, don't sell yourself short by calling yourself a noob. Just load up and play man. We were all new at once and good luck friend
