  1. Nonresponsive dashboard navigation


    Ever since the May system update, my dashboard navigation frequent becomes nonresponsive, i.e. using the d-pad on a controller, media remote, or smartglass will not navigate between tiles. I can voice into an app and then the d-pad functionality resumes,
    so this is clearly limited to the dashboard.

    My xbox one has developed a problem at the dashboard where it is VERY slow to respond , problem ONLY exists at the dash , in a game and in app all is good go back to dashboard take an age and once back at dashboard it very slow to respond to the point of

    can u use xbox 1 without kinnect and voice commands?

    The controller is not quicker for dashboard navigation.

    This sometimes happens/happened to me even before the May update. Sometimes it seems a formerly snapped app or a fullscreen app that's supposed to "sleep" while not running on the main screen doesn't sleep or end correctly, taking up processor resources
    it shouldn't, making the dashboard unresponsive.

    I resolved that every time by going to the console and holding the Xbox Logo sensor button for about 10 seconds. Check that the LED on your power brick turns orange. Wait about 30 seconds and turn the console on. It should now work again as expected.

    Sorry for any issues you are having due to the Service alert. Looks like the service alert is
    coming toan end. Please
    power cycleyour console and see if it is back to normal when
    it comes up.Clear the alt mac by going to settings>network>network settings>adv. Settings> alt mac clear and restart.

    Hello UberBlakGi I was reading your question, and the reply that was provided by .
    It would be best to contact support as mentioned, however I just thought I would add a suggestion.

    You may need to disconnect the power cord from the back of your xbox 1 in order to get that full restart.

    I usually disconnect the power for at least 10 seconds, then reconnect and power up my Xbox 1. This is a complete restart, and something support will probably suggest to you.

    I agree with Travis26, and I edited my initial answer with that thought also before I realised he'd made it also, so that's two independent suggestions on doing a complete power off and restart :)
