    None of my media apps will work!


    Its worked fine all day, than all the sudden I turn my xbox on and none of my apps will load (hulu, crackle, etc) I've restarted my console dozens of times, cleared my MAC address and all that. Whatever this is, its not my internet, as everything else works
    fine. I've noticed also that my the tiles on the corner for the sales and ads aren't loading. When I try to go to my messages it also says "we weren't able to get your messages, please try again later"

    Play videos on burned discs

    I've put a disk in and none of the apps even see the optical blu ray drive let alone any media files on it. The blu ray player app does play media on a blu ray disk that is in the proper blu ray format, but VLC, or even the file explorer app do not even display the optical drive. I can play media on an external drive using VLC.

    thanks for your reply.

    Unfortunately none of mentioned solutions work.

    Believe me, i tried any single file manager app in the store: none of them can access local storage. I tried any media player (other outdated solutions in the community reported vlc or other media apps to work). I tried via edge settings (as you suggest).

    I can see files and folders (with more then one method) but can't perform any action on them.

    it works and displays all my media without the limited file count i saw with the "Movies & TV" app.

    not ideal, but it works ....

    just wondering why the "My Media" app doesn't.

    None of this worked for me.

    MKV files are not visible. And to restate...I CAN see all other media files.
