None of my games can connect to a game server

I just got back from a month of field training and updated all of my games but none of them will let me play online. My NAT is open, my packets and all other readings are above the recommended levels. COD Ghost says to check their support page but it says
all is green, Titanfall wont even get past the home screen because it cant locate a game server, Battlefield is the same, and all the other games are following suit.

Will Xbox One and the new dedicated servers vanquish NAT issues?

One never
connects console to console in a dedicated server configuration. One's console connects to the dedicated server and that's it. All communication for the game is from multiple clients to a single server. By definition, you do not "connect to anyone", your console only
connects to Microsoft.



This distinction is important. With the 360, people are being DoS'ed or DDoS'ed because the "server" console's communication with all other player consoles exposes those player's IP addresses to the server. It's a trivial matter to harvest that information
and then do bad things with it. In a dedicated server environment, that's no longer possible. The only communication that takes place is from one's console to the dedicated server. 64 players on a dedicated server? None of the 64 player consoles would ever
communicate with any other player console.

Microsoft is providing dedicated server facilities as an option. Game developers are not being forced
to use Azure. It appears they're maintaining the option that current-day 360 titles use - ad-hoc election of a server console during match creation.



Also, there are very few true P2P games on the 360. Most are ad-hoc client/server where one console is elected the server for a match and the rest are clients.

 

I'm having same issues with titanfall, just about to check others.

 

All others seem fine just Titanfall that is down for me

 

support.xbox.com currently shows that Xbox Live is experiencing Limited Service, specifically in the areas of Social and Gaming. The blurb from that page:

"Don’t worry, we’re currently working to resolve this issue right away and we appreciate your patience during this process. Feel free to check back in 30 minutes for an update on our progress."

 

@NECROM, when you say Titanfall and BF won't go past the home screen, do you mean the Home screen for the CONSOLE, the initial "splash" screen for the game (basically, quitting back to the home screen right after loading) or the main menu screen for the
game?

For those particular issues, I would recommend a hard power cycle of the console (hold the "Nexus" power light on the console for 8-10 seconds, then wait until the power brick turns orange, then start back up again.) I personally experienced an issue last
night with a game loading the splash screen, then immediately returning to the home screen, and a hard reset fixed it.
