Non-Valid code on New Code

Today my Brother and I were entering a new Xbox Live, Gold card. I put in my code with NO mistakes and it says " Code is not valid " We tried multiple times and it did not work. Sadly, For the account we possibly know the email but
it was a broken email, Not validated and we do not know the Microsoft account password, I was going to try on the website but we could not log in. We don't know the Email's password either. Please help us. We even went back to the store.

Ciao, in this day on line is not perfect, till 1 hour ago, i cannot log in to my profile, xbox tell me ERROR wrong password, but was impossible, now it work... but man it s strange this issue ( waiting for xbox ambassador, they will help you)

My brother made a new account and moved the code on there and it worked, He shouldn't have had an open balance.
