    I recently created an xbox account for my son coming in from the minecraft app (android).

    when i try to log in to the account to enable adding him as a friend to my account I had to verify his account as an adult.

    Going through this process it requires me entering a US credit card to make a symbolic debit as verification.

    the problem is that my family is swedes, we live in Sweden and have no US affiltions what so ever. My personal account settings are swedish and I don't remember being asked a region for my sons account during creation.

    this stops the process and effectively shuts down any possibility to remedy the situation.

    i have been in chat support for several hours today and it seems it she could not skip the verification or set the region on my sons account.

    i was recommended to remove the account, which I cannot do because I cant log in to the thing!

    Is there really no other way than to create a whole new email adress for my son to use as account to ms/xbox or can you in some way help me?

    Adult Account not working.

    My account for Microsoft is a Child account but i'm a adult and when i look at my setting its has the right birth date, but the account won't update to Adult so i can't get M rated games. Please help!

    also, after searching this forum i come across 4year old posts adressing this issue not seeming it was fixed back then.

    this makes me sad.

    went back to redo the process with a new made up email address to see if I missed something.

    and the region default to sweden so i select that.

    now i am certain both my and the new account has swedish regions if not the region is removed or set as blank in the system even though it was entered as swedish.

    and still when loggning on to the new child account it requires adult verification. which still requires us credit card!

    Adult as in the age of the account has to be 18. Setting your account to adult but having a non adult age will not allow your to change it.
