Non of my games are starting?!

Hi, ever since Saturday, non of my games have been able to start. My internet connection is fine and my hard drive is not full. I tried starting help but it did not start either. I have tried any things, clear my MAC address, attempted to start through four
different internet connections, ejecting the disc and trying and trying. I have also hard rebooted several times. In fact I left it for the whole of today completely unplugged to everything. I just returned, attempted to start up all my games, it was a failure. Please
help

wow really, you come to the forum to show how you should have just checked Xbox live Status page.

that clearly said that there were problems and they were working on fixing it.

if you don't know the page for the current status... well google / bing it as Xbox Status it's the first page listed.

I'd put it to you that it DON'T work like you think it does. After enough time it will load up wether you're connected or not (I've done both), the time won't be that much different if any at all.



You just have to wait it out and from looking at Twitter and my own experience that's anything from 10-30 mins.

Yes, it's clear that you have tried more than a few things to get your Xbox up and running again. However, I have to ask did you try deleting and

re-add your account/profile back to your Xbox? I know it may sound a little strange. But, I had a similar problem once and all it took was to remove my account and add it back again to fix the issue. Let us know if this helps.

Hi, thanks for your reply. It is not strange, I have indeed already attempted this. It ended in failure. Many of my downloaded content had been wiped too in the process as a result of removing my account. After I added it back nothing had changed. Two of
my games started once, I managed to get a good 2 hours on the games and they ran smoothly so I doubt my hard drive is having problems. However as soon as I quit the game and tried starting it up again It came up with the error: 0x8027025a again.

 

Hey Zaltania! Are you able to launch games in offline mode? Additionally, are you using an external hard drive at all? Post back and let me know!

Thank you for getting back to me. I have attempted to play in offline mode. I am indeed using external but only for one or two games which I rarely play (which is why I put it on the drive). The rest of my games run on the internal hard drive. I doubt there
is a hard drive issue as I take very good care of my console.

Edit: Call of Duty Infinite Warfare just launched. I managed to play a game smoothly so I attempted to quit the game and restart it. Now it cannot start again.

Hey Zaltania! I see on your public profile that you've made some game clips recently. Are you still having this issue? If so, a

factory reset would be the next step. Give it a shot and let me know how it goes!

I did factory reset my Xbox. My game managed to launch but after quitting and attempting to start it again, it failed. Some of the clips were from a while ago when my Live storage was full.

 

Hey Zaltania! I would suggest disconnecting the external and see if that helps at all. Aside from that, if you're seeing the issue in offline mode after a factory reset,
servicing the console would be the next option. Post back and let me know how it goes!

Hi Mister Cizl,

The problem originated before I connected my hard drive. I was running my games on my friend's console and realised that the games weren't running either (his own game files not mine). So from this I think I can deduce it to a problem with either my account
or my power supply (I think the latter). I did give it a blow and a lot of dust came out. I'm not sure why, my Xbox is only just over a year old. I have yet to test if this has solved my issue. Right now I do not have access to my Xbox and one of my friends
is helping me progress in GTA Online. I will get back to you once I am home.

 

So my games are running fine now! It seems it was a problem with the new update. My friends games stopped working too. After many tests we realised that when an update or download was ongoing non of our games would run. I also received a message from a fellow
player saying he and many others were experiencing this problem.

I hope this issue is fixed in the future. Thanks for the assistance.
