noisy fan

Hi

Purchased Xbox One S through Currys. It had really noisy fan, I could hear it while playing. Get it for exchange and another one has the same problem. Now, should the fan be completely quiet or should there be minimal whizzing sound at all. I'm not sure
if I should go and exchange it again?

I've seen a lot of videos and posts about faulty bearings being a common fault. If another exchange will have the same issue should I just contact Microsoft? I'd feel quite silly keep exchanging it...

You may have to register your console online and check the warranty, sometimes where you purchased it will allow for exchange, if not you will follow these steps.

Yes, it's been laying flat the whole time I've owned it.

 

You can always submit a service order for your console if you think that it's not working properly at devicesupport.microsoft.com You can register your console to your account if not already done so and start a service order if you do not want to exchange
it with the retailer where it was purchased.

Nobody can help you decide if the fan on your console is working normally or has an issue however as the second console from currys is making the same sound would make me think this is normal behaviour for the console however unless you can compare your
console to you will not know this. Also don't forget it's pretty warm right now so the fan on the console fan is likely to be running more don't forget to check the positioning of the console to ensure it has

enough ventilation.
