    Noise with Xbox one X


    Hello,

    I have a one X since yesterday and it is more noisy than expected, especially when playing a 4K blu ray. I have an average of 39 dba at 1 meter and a half ( more than my PS4 Pro with a standard blu ray).

    Is it normal ? Should i request an exchange ?

    Xbox One X Noise

    I am posting this for people to know my issue. My xbox one x started making a weird humming noise. Turns out that the external HDD cable was lightly touching the tv. The vibration of the disk drive was being transferred through the cable and making the weird
    noise with the tv.

    Turns out is was nothing but vibration. Try to let the external HDD’s cable not touch anything and see if that fixes your problem.

    Xbox one X noises

    It is common for the xbox one console to make some noise. But if the noise just doesn't sound right. I would suggest calling Xbox customer support and speaking with someone in the hardware department.

    Noise with Xbox one X

    I have a buzzing / humming high pitch noise which is quite noticeable even in standby/idle mode. Have to set power settings to totally switch off which is rather useless.

    @Microsoft have you sent out bad batches. Going to RMA it me thinks

    Have experienced this a couple of times myself. Gonna keep an eye on it, thats for sure. If it dont improve i will return it. So many users report that their xone is very silent, i want one of those.

    My original Xbox One X had a faulty fan and made a strange buzzing sound in the back right corner. Following advice from Xbox Support I was told to either exchange the console or send in for repair. I exchanged the console at the retailer and the new one
    is almost silent and I think could even be quieter than the Xbox One. My advice would be to speak to Xbox Support and either exchange with retailer or send in for repair.

    My X1X Scorpio Edition was incredibly loud while watching blu-ray movies. Even about 15 feet away, it was still distractingly loud. Had to do an RMA. Couldn't do an advance exchange or even an exchange in store because it was the Project Scorpio edition.
    Being told it could take upwards of 28 days to repair. Really poor service from Microsoft if you ask me.

    Xbox One X Fan sounds way louder than usual

    Ok I moved it and it has not shut off sense but the Xbox One X Fan noise is not constant and is still loud maybe not as loud as a jet engine like I describe before but still loud way louder than my Xbox One S and OG Xbox One, it would have a fan burst
    when I'm playing which is loud and annoying and the fan noise would never be at a constant noise level while I'm playing a game.

    Thank's for the quick reply. I considered this but I did find it strange that my original Xbox one has no ticking noise. I don't know if they would have the same noise, but even when nothing is being downloaded on the One X and it has been on standby for
