    When I turn on the Xbox Series X, I set up a quick start, the console emits a short-lived noise coming from inside the console, it would look like the fan scratching something at the cue emitting a deaf noise lasting 2 seconds quite intense, and audible
    even with daytime ambient noise in the norm. I don't know exactly what this noise produces at startup.
    I also have an Xbox one X, same settings, and it doesn't produce any noise similar to the one described.

    Another quick question. Is it normal for the XBox to make a weird noise every few minutes. It makes a high frequency noise (like a beep) for around 1 second every few minutes. It also makes this noise on startup?

    Discs cannot be read

    I decided to record the noise from startup to it asking to open tray at menu, then closing the tray with a disc inside again & letting it spin. Im sorry for the thudding noises, the mics cable is surrounded by hard plastic & it seems to do that whenever
    I barely tap it on the desk.

    Most of that noise is apparently typical of benQ drives, but someone might be able to pinpoint any abnormal noise that indicates hardware failure or not I guess.

    Is it just me or does the annoying menu navigation sounds turn itself on every few updates?

    Hey there Philly EAGL3S! Thanks for reaching out to us. While there is a feature to turn off the start up chime noise by going so Settings>Power & startup>Power Mode & Startup>Startup Chime.

    However, there is no feature to completely disable the chime made when navigating menus or the dashboard on the Xbox One console.
