Nobody seems to voice chat :(

I started playing The Division on the PS4 because when it came out, none of my XB1 friends had the game. But someone finally did pick it up so I recently picked up another copy so I could join in.

I've noticed a big difference between the 2 consoles. On PS4 people are voice chatting (not in an annoying way) quite a lot and it makes a HUGE difference in the Dark Zone. But so far my personal experience on XB is that there are not many people using voice
chat.

Is there a reason for that, that maybe I've missed something?

Xbox one stereo headset info wanted

The balance buttons allow you to go to both extremes, so you can have game audio only, voice/party chat only, then there's a bunch of steps in between.

The issues with voice chat are not related to the headset. They seem to be related to the party app. Very occasionally I will join a party and nobody can hear me and I can't hear them. Very occasionally I will be in a party, everything is working fine, but
then suddenly nobody can hear anybody else talking. I reported this and was told that MS are working on updates to fix stuff like this. The vast majority of the time it works fine for me though.

Two of my console's accounts will not send my voice chat into Game chat.

They show the mic audio bars visually on the screen, but nobody in the games can hear my voice.

However, one of the accounts on my Xbox One DOES send voice chat through properly and everybody in the game can hear my voice.

What is wrong?

I've tested this against my controllers and headsets. The problem is in the software or operating system. I troubleshot many different solutions through Xbox Live support, Case #1399246365

I have the same problem, I dont hear anyone but I know they are speaking because if you go to group management you can see their chat volume go up and down. I have never heard anyone in co-op or DZ and im level 31 now and my head set is fine, I checked it
in group chat and messages.

 

a lot of the players are in parties with other people -- sad fact if you do challenging missions and such and can be right annoying.

but over all there is a ton of players that comms in missions and such .. we have a load we play with aswell if you fancy getting in with them.

So I admit, because I've been spending more time on PS4 lately, I forgot about Xbox party chat

I've found that a few people are in parties, just excluding me Sometimes if they see that I'm talking, they'll think to invite me to the party, but most times, I'm still talking to myself

I don't have the most amazing gear, and I'm not the best player out there, but if someone's looking for a fun run through a few missions, I'm always up for it
