No Xbox

I don't have an Xbox gaming thingy. I like some games, but must I always play them on the "cloud"... What if I don't have a internet connection... Isn't the cloud dead then? Can I just play it on my windows 8.1 laptop without needing an Xbox or "cloud"?

I got several codes on my notebook. All the errors i got refer to a Xbox 360 or a Xbox One. But I havn't both of the things. What is going on????? By the way: My English is new: It's "Dutch English"!!!

You need an Xbox console to play Xbox games.

 

Not always the case, Visage. With the release of Windows 8.1 and the Xbox One, there are some (mostly Arcade games) that are playable on Windows 8 and the Consoles. For example, Project Spark will be one of these games (apps.microsoft.com/.../735aaf10-e354-4645-9cb4-c9f2fc391ec5).

Back to the OP, have you tried to see if there is an option to download the games directly to your harddrive? Some games may require that you have an internet connection, though I believe the Cloud is primarily for connecting you to your achievements and
such from your Xbox console(s) (Which you don't have).

 

You really have to stop trying to one-up me all the time, it looks bad. If someone wants to play an Xbox game then they need an Xbox.

What you're talking about in the above post is PC games designed for the PC that just so happen to have been released on consoles to. That is not what the original poster asked about. The question was about running Xbox games on a PC which you cannot do.
This is double true since this is the 360 Support forum and the two systems are very much incompatible. Yes, certain games had PC releases--particularly those published by Microsoft Games Studios--but those are PC versions of a game, not an Xbox game.
