    No Xbox display

So the other night I was playing the Black ops 3 beta. My Xbox froze a few times and I just thought it was the beta. The next day I turned on my Xbox and there was no display on my TV screen. I also can't turn off the Xbox by tapping the button on my console,
I can only turn it off by holding it for five seconds which shuts it down. I've contacted Xbox and tried swapping HDMI cables and other troubleshooting options but nothing works. Can anyone help?

    :)

My first question would be what kind of TV do you have? If it is a standard definition TV, make sure the switch on the A/V cables is set for SD.

Another option is to reset your display settings for the console. The way you do it is these simple steps. 1) Remove any discs from the tray and turn off your system. 2) Turn the system back on using the XBOX guide button of the controller. 3) As the console
turns on, press and hold the 'Y' button while holding down the right trigger (RT). This will reset the display settings back to the original settings from the first time you started it. If that does not solve the problem, your console might need a repair.
I will refer you to this page.
    support.xbox.com/.../image-on-your-tv-is-unclear
At the bottom is where I pulled the solution from and if it does not work, you will need to submit a repair ticket for the system.

I also forgot to add that it won't connect to any other devices. My kinect won't turn on, my controller can't connect to the Xbox and I can't connect via Smart glass

Sorry to hear it. Have you tried holding the power button on the console until it shuts down then unplugging all cables from the console and letting it sit for 5 minutes before reconnecting everything?

Same thing happened to me while I was playing BO3 Beta. Except I came home from work and my xbox was already on. I turned it off then turned it on again. The xbox is on but theres nothing on the t.v screen. My controller wont connect to it. I've already
tried switching HDMI cords, powering it off for 10 seconds, and unplugging the power supply cords for atleast 15 minutes. I've been at this for 2 days and there is still no solution.

"No Signal" in not-full HD TV´s

Hi, if you connect the xbox to the tv that is does show a display on, then go to settings/console settings/display and disable display discovery. Then connect the xbox to the tv you are getting no display on do you then get a display at all ?

Try the same cable and Xbox 360, on another display. Try another cable, with the same Xbox 360 and display.

This will help determine if it's the cable, display, or Xbox 360 at fault.

Hello @Pzrozaye22, I hope everything is going well!

Thank you for reaching Microsoft Xbox Forum support!

    Please check the following points:

    • Confirm that both your TV and console are turned on.
    • Check that your TV is set to the correct input signal (HDMI).
    • Check that the HDMI cable connections to your console and to your TV are secure.
    • Check that the HDMI cable is connected to the "out to TV" port on the console.
    • Try plugging the HDMI cable into a different HDMI port on your TV.
    • Try using a different HDMI cable to connect your console to your TV.
    • Try connecting your console to a different TV.
    • Power cycle your console: Press and hold the Xbox button  for 10 seconds to turn off the console, and then turn it on again.
If the issue persists, try resetting your display settings:

    1. If there's a disc in the console, eject it.
    2. On the console, press and hold the Xbox button for 10 seconds to turn off the console.
    3. Press and hold the Xbox button and the Eject button until you hear a beep to turn on the console. You’ll hear one beep right away and a second beep 10 seconds later. The power light will flash on before the second beep. Don’t let go until you hear the second beep or see the console start up in low resolution mode (the Xbox startup screen will appear slightly pixelated).
      • Note If you have an Xbox Series S or Xbox One S All-Digital Edition, you’ll need to press and hold the Xbox button and the Pair button instead, as your console does not have an Eject button.
    4. In either case, this will start up your console in low resolution mode (640 × 480). To change this setting, press the Xbox button to open the guide. Go to Profile & system > Settings > General > TV & display options, and then select the resolution you want from the Display dropdown.
    5. If you’re required to complete these steps on every startup, you’ll want to change your TV connection to HDMI as shown in step 3 of the next section, "Your screen is blank and you use an AVR in your setup." For more info, see How to adjust the display settings on your Xbox.
I wish you a lovely day, and I hope this helps you out!

    Kind Regards

    Stay safe, and happy gaming!
