No Xbox 360 discs working on Xbox One console!

The compatibility for discs and games only works backwards, not forwards. Xbox One discs can be played on the Xbox One, Xbox 360 discs (being the older console) can be played on the Xbox One and the Xbox 360, Xbox discs (being the oldest console) can be
played on all three consoles. The Xbox One is currently the newest console that is out, and therefore, its games only works on its system.

Past that, you'll have to get the right disc to play on the Xbox 360... it should say Xbox 360 on the case and the disc for the game.

Do you own any other Xbox 360 BC game discs are they currently working on your console?

For game to be recognised and download started you must:

• Have working game disc, free from dirt and damage
• Your Xbox One must have a working optical drive

If you don't have any other 360 discs, check if your console can read DVD discs. Place a DVD movie into your console and see if it will play. The disc must be a DVD, not a Blu-ray or Xbox One disc.

If it can recognise other Xbox 360 BC game discs and DVD movies, then the fault must be with that particular disc. If your console can not read any 360 BC disc or DVD's, then you have a faulty console.

Xbox 360 games are on DVD discs, and Xbox One discs are Blu-Ray.

There is a different laser in your console that reads Xbox 360 games and DVD discs. It's likey this laser has failed. This would explain why Xbox One games work but 360 games do not.

Do you have any DVD discs to test on your console? If you do and these also consequently fail to work, I'm afraid your console has developed a fault.

Have you tried putting your xbox 360 discs in a xbox 360 console? If they work in that console you may have a read error in your xbox one.

These are possible reasons why your game/s are not working.

1. Your game isn't backwards compatable. Only games on
   this list will work on the Xbox One.
2. Your Xbox 360 game disc is in poor condition or dirty.
3. Your Xbox One Blu-ray Drive is faulty.

The optical drive in the Xbox One has two lasers, one for reading DVD discs - which the Xbox 360 games use - and one to read Blu-ray discs - and one to read Blu-ray discs - which is the disc medium Xbox One disc games use.

Power Cycle your console

• Eject the Xbox 360 disc.
• On the main menu press and hold the power button of the console until it turns off. Wait 10 sec and power the console back on.
• Sign in with your account, be sure to be connected on Xbox live.
• Insert yor BC Xbox 360 game disc. If it works you will be prompted to accept an update.
  

Note: To run BC Xbox 360 disc games for the first time, you must be connected
to Xbox Live. The Xbox One can not run Xbox 360 games directly from the disc, it must download a repacked Xbox One compatible version from Xbox Live. It will say an 'update' is required to be downloaded, but in actual fact these 'updates' are actually
the entire game.

If your console still will not read BC Xbox 360 discs and they are in good condition, try playing a DVD movie disc on your console (not a High definition Blu-ray disc). If DVD movie discs do not play either, your console will need to be repaired/replaced.
