Dirty I don't even think a price cut is coming - I think an xbox division axe is coming.

You remember the Nokia guy that wanted to be CEO of Microsoft and conspired with the stockholders to remove portions of the company that weren't making enough profit?

So enjoy your xbox one while you can this very well could be its last year as a Microsoft console. Amazon may buy it (which could be a good thing) or it might just die out right. Then it won't matter what you bought Titanfall for since it's heavily dependent
    on Microsoft Cloud servers.

  2. @Igneuss,

Elop will be in charge of the division that houses Xbox, Surface, and Windows phone. I'm leaning towards it being in his best interest to make sure the division grows. It's absurd to think he would want to kill the products he
    is now responsible for.

I would hope your purpose here is more than spreading misinformation.

Death no I am actually in a panic. As I have posted this on several threads hoping it gets some sort of notice.

Before my mission was to help Microsoft see that value is needed in their Xbox Division. That's the only thing Sony has on them at this time - they sure as hell don't have better IPs in my eyes. I own both consoles and I have bashed and praised both.

My new mission is to get that jack *** out of there and get us someone in charge of the division that will help it grow.

It is not a rumor he wanted to axe the Xbox division in his play for CEO. The current turn of events leads me to believe he will be the fallout guy when the division is sold off. I mean he's not really someone reputable with Microsoft so it only really makes
him look bad when the final decision is made.

If you really want me to I can link and post several articles from various news sites (with very good reputation) including one of my most recent reads @ IGN.

With all the crap going on and lack of sales in their major territories I just don't understand why Microsoft would make this move.

    @deathscytheHC,

ELOP is only concerned about his golden parachute, which I am sure is quite a large amount. He didn't do anything good for Nokia, what makes you think he will do anything for MS.

Lets look at the current situation for MS. $900 million lost from first year of surface, no numbers yet for surface 2 but its look to be a double down of losses for MS.

PS4 sales totaled 5.3 million units in january while MS has yet to release numbers except the 3.6 million figure it had for the end of 2013. PS4 hasn't even released in its home country yet (Japan), and sales figures are going to explode at that point. Meanwhile
Xbox one consoles sit on store shelves by the plenty like Wii U's shortly after their launch.

Windows phone sales are abysmal, just 4.7% of entire phone sales in 2013 compared to iPhone which was 43% of all phone sales in 2013.

MS is getting crushed in every market, while at the same time Apple is delivering the knockout punch in the PC market.

I forgot to include, MS took a huge hit with trying to support "HD DVD" lolz. What a massive failure that was. Too bad for those HD DVD early adopters thinking MS has unlimited funds to determine which format wins.

  6. Ever thought the op doesn't want to buy another X Box machine! Maybe he's had enough. I mean what have Microsoft been up to the last two years ? Besides ranting on about Kinect ? Game wise did Microsoft release a original game ? Halo, Gears, Forza. Hey I
love Big Macs but if I ate one every day I'm sure I be sick of Macdonalds. 8 years of the same games on the 360, I doubt they be able to repeat that same success with the One. The One sells more then the 360 at launch wow, well it ain't now. Sales have come
to a crawl here in the uk anyway. Sales are so bad that Microsoft feel compelled to reduce the One by 30 pounds and throw in a free 50 pound game to boot. Uk sales must be bad.

What has Microsoft been up to in the last 2 years? They released the Xbox One. They have also been rebuilding their first party studios that took a pretty big hit due to the recession in 2008/2009. They have also been busy spending
that billion they announced to secure/develop exclusive content.
