No wireless WiFi connection

so I bought the link one mobile WiFi device and my game console won’t connect to it .it says something about hardware problems with the router or modem but nothing is blocked.can someone help me.it connected when I first got it but after a while it’s not

Why when i test my xbox live connection does it say its working, but it doesn't?

How are you connecting to the internet? Are you using a wired connection, or a wireless (WiFi)? I had a console where a WiFi connection would give me occasional problems, so you would want to check that out.

whats happened to the connection?

The connection seems perfectly fine to me. No lag. But my connection is wired.

Have you tried restarting the router or changing your wifi channel(if wireless)?

Wifi channel interference can be a massive cause of lag

I'm not sure if a mobile wifi device is able to connect with a game console but I will mention a few steps in case they help you.

(1)(a) Hold the power button on the front of your xb1 for about 20 seconds or untill the console turns off... (1)(b) wait a few minutes and switch the console back on. (1)(c) Try to connect to the router.

(2) Check to make sure you are trying to connect to the correct wifi device.

(3) Check to make sure you are typing the right password.

If you still cant connect...

(4) Turn off your router for about 60 seconds then turn it back on.

repeat (2)&(3)

If you still cant connect...

(5) Try to connect a different device to the router

repeat (2)&(3)

If another device will not connect to your router there may be a problem with the router. Call your service provider and see what advice they give you.

If another device connects to your router either leave it connected or disconnect it and try to connect your console.

buy a virgin media hub with monthly subscription and connect the console to the router with an ethernet cable.

Are you connected wired or wireless? If wireless, try using a wifi scanner to see if the wifi channel is congested or getting swamped. If that happens to be the case, try changing the WiFi channel on the router or going wired.

If it's a wireless connection, be aware, that network speed via WiFi is dependent on several factors: Is your Router 802.11ac capable? If so, does it support MIMO? Otherwise only one antenna and channel is used to transmit data, and if multiple WiFi devices
interact with the WiFi, the speed of the WiFi decreases with the amount of devices using the WiFi.

Also, the more wireless interference is introduced (number of walls between your router and the console, and the amount of metal around your home causing "echoes" in the WiFi signals, or neighboring WiFi networks or wireless devices that interfere with your
WiFi connection.

That being said, WiFi is always a bad choice for high performance networking.
