No wireless networks appearing

Hi. I've had an Xbox One for over six months now and yesterday I was going to watch some Netflix, but no wireless networks were showing up. Not just mine, but nothing was appearing. I didn't get any error message, just got the regular "which one's yours?"
message with nothing showing up. It was storming pretty bad, so I just chalked it up to that and forgot about it. Today I tried using it again (no rain today) and the same thing happened. I live at an apartment complex with shared internet, so I can't just
go check the router. But I don't think it's anything wrong with the apartment's internet because my computer and phone are connected just fine. I can't seem to find anyone else whose had this problem. Hard reset didn't fix it. Any help?

Wireless Network Connection Issues

Is anyone else having this issue? When I occasionally turn my Xbox on, none of the wireless networks are appearing? It’s clearly not a fault with our WiFi as it is literally not picking up any wireless networks whatsoever. After switching the Xbox on and
off about 50 times still none of the wireless networks are appearing. Would be great if someone could offer a resolution because I’m starting to get really frustrated with it! Thanks.

i can't connect to xbox live, because my wi-fi network is not appearing in network settings. there are other wireless networks though and i have no problem connecting to my network on pc. My modem is D-LINK DIR 615. we followed all instructions on this
website, but nothing seems to work. please help

 

There are a couple of basic t/s steps you could try in order to get it working by clicking this link to an article on xbox.com for your Xbox One not detecting your wireless networks, if it still ends up not working you may have to call support at 1-800-4MY-XBOX
to see if there are any other t/s steps they can help you with or determining if you have to send your console in for repairs.

 

Since you have mentioned that your Xbox one is not seeing any wireless networks at all, but other devices can, it may need a repair, but since your Xbox is 6 months old, it may still be under warranty. It is possible that the storm you mentioned may have
damaged the network card in your Xbox One.

You could try this troubleshooter:

"My Xbox One can’t see my wireless network".

If this doesn't help, I would schedule a repair.

You can do that from your Microsoft account page by doing the following:

1. Go to Sign in to your Microsoft account
   
2. Look for your Xbox One
3. Click "Schedule a repair"

 

storm may have glitched the xbox , I would try a factory reset before I called about getting it repaired.....
