No White Power Light On Console Button Indicating It's Turned On, Even Though Console Has ...

Anyone else having this problem?

Strange - Red Lights issue

ok my son was playing on his white 20GB console when suddenly it swtiched off he turned it back on to see 3 red lights, I turned it off and left it for 5 minutes or so after unplugging all leads etc, plugged everything back in turned the console back on,
no red lights, the console starts to boot back up then an error screen with E71 message comes up and 1 red light, I checked all leads especially power supply and the light on the power supply and that was green (orange when console turned off) so I turned
the console back off then on and again and now it is running fine, does anyone know if I will need to get a new power supply or not as this puzzled me.

Xbox 360 slim turns on but wont boot

Hello,

My xbox360 has been working normally until just a few days ago. I turned the console on using the controller and the controller kept flashing as if trying to connect. the console had the middle green light but no light indicating a controller was connected.
so initially i thought it might need to just resync the controller. tried that and both the console and the controller continued to flash. Then i realized that the console was not booting up at all. I was turning on but would not even display anything on
the tv. Also, when i shut the console off using the console power button, it would still turn off the controller even though the controller never connected. After that i tried, unplugging the power to the xbox from the wall and then rebooting and unplugging
the power supply from the xbox itself and rebooting. Still just has the green dot on the power button and it wont boot up.

help please....

I personally have not seen it happen. My light often dims (sometimes it's too dim in my opinion) but it's always on to some degree when it's supposed to be.

 

Assuming you're the person I spoke to about this earlier on Ambassador Chat, then I've not encountered it elsewhere.

 

Sounds like it's either a power issue, especially in the case of the dimming, if you have the system plugged into a power strip or surge protector it can actually create draw issues that cause the system not to get adequate power to operate. If this is
the case I'd remove it from the power strip and move it to a wall outlet directly and see if that improves. If not it's just a little LED in there that lights up and it could be as simple as the light has shorted out. But that's something we wouldn't be
able to tell unless we popped it open.

Give the power source thing a look and if that doesn't fix it, and it's bother you enough to do so, then I'd give support a call and let them know the light has gone out and you'd like to get it fixed or replaced.
