No warranty on the Elite Controller!!!

I was given the elite controllers in November 2015 and now MS refuses to repair it under warranty because I have the receipt.
it is logical that it is under warranty as it is a product for sale, not even for a year! SHAME!! After more than 10 years of xbox, xbox live,
dozens of games this is the treatment! Thanks Microsoft!

Extended Warranty - Elite Controller

The normal warranty on the Elite Controller is 90 days. Is there an Extended Warranty for the Elite Controller, like there is of an Xbox One?

support.xbox.com/.../warranty-and-registration-faq and I cannot find a way to extend a warranty online? I have no device registered by Xbox yet.

Sorry to hear it. However, Xbox accessories only have a 90 day warranty. Seeing as how you received your controller in November of 2015 your controller is now out of warranty. You would need to either pay for the repair or purchase a new one.

Hey there.

You need to contact support buddy. You're in the EU so you get a two year standard warranty with any electrical item. The problem is the support site seems to be stuck in North America mode where they only have a 90 day warranty for accessories.

I had the same issue with a Power supply in the UK. Tried to arrange for a replacement through the support site but it wanted to charge me. Got on a chat with support though and they knew what the terms were for the UK and sorted it out straight away for
me.

They recently extended the warranty for elite 2 to one year. https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/hardware-network/controller/elite-controller-series-2-warranty . maybe this will help

The Elite controller is definitely a very nice step up from the controller that comes with the console. You get a lot of opportunities for customization, and it feels great. If I understand your question correctly, you're wondering if the warranty on your
console will carry over to the Elite controller? Is it a warranty through Xbox or a third party such as Best Buy? The warranty on your Xbox will cover the Xbox and controller that came with it, but not the separately purchased Elite controller. If the warranty
is through a third party, it would be best to check with them. Hope this helps!

Is it a standard controller or an Elite controller?

If it’s standard you’ll have to replace the controller unfortunately. If it’s an elite you can get it serviced or replaced if it’s still under warranty.

They will replace/repair out of warranty controllers so long as they are not Elite controllers.
