    No volume on Recon 30X headset


    Have tried all setting, resets, etc. Nothing online and all attempts to reach XBOX or any Microsoft customer service is futile. Any help is appreciated.

    Major mute issue (no adapter/without adapter) No game chat volume, no game volume, no console sounds

    Xbox one is stuck on mute. I'm using the Recon 50x turtle beach headset with a 3.5 mm jack controller no adapter needed. I thought it was the headset I returned it to gamestop in exchange for another one. Still having the same issue. Can only hear volume through
    the tv. It won't play through any headset. Will be trying another controller to rule that out. I did notice that I didn't have this issue until after a controller upgrade. Console was upgraded on the 19th. Will be trying a factory reset as well. I'm getting
    an icon next to the battery indicating no mic rather I have the headphones plugged in or not.

    Sub issues

    Headset mixer will not show, error message when in party chat reads "We can't find mics for these people." No game chat volume, no game volume, no console sounds, and no party chat through headset.

    Ok, here is a more in depth explanation. You know what my problem is, i'm trying to hear everything trough my headset. i dont have an adapter, i have the 3.5 Xbox Controler, the one that you can plug your headset right in.

    i have it pluged into my controler, with no adapter. I'm using the turtle beach Recon 30X. I know it works, bucuase i can still hear my party, but nothing else. It is not directly connected to my TV. is there anything else i can describe?

    is there something on the back of the package that would clue me in on of game volume will be available before I blow money on another one?
    You'll never get any game volume/audio on the Turtle Beach Chat Recon Headset, its for chat only,

    For chat and game audio you need something like the Turtle Beach Recon 50X Headset.

    Hi there John

    What type of headset you use?. There common issue with buzzing from mics while using the plug and play/charge units.

    It can also depend on the charge unit itself sometimes taking to much power, could be possible.
    im using a turtle beach earforce recon 30X and its not buzzing the controller just won't register the headset as being plugged in

    I have never tried this setup before using the Xbox App, but feel it should work as every other aspect of my computer can detect and use the headset speaker and microphone. It is only the Xbox App that cannot find the microphone on this headset.

    I am trying to use the headset on my computer exactly like it would be used on the Xbox One, through the 3.5mm jack. There is no reason this should not work because my computer finds the microphone just fine.
