No Voice acting on movies.

Trying to watch a movie on my xbox1 . All the sound works find for trailers. But when movie starts, I hear all sound but the voice acting. I tried a few diffrent movies.Same thing. Am i doing something wrong here?

No. The voice acting needs to stay. Never get tired of the re 1 voice acting. "You were almost a Jill sandwich"

Check your settings for your audio. My friend had a similar issue and found it was because he had the settings set to 2 different things (could tell you what right now as i am at work). There are 2 audio settings, put them both to the same and it should
be fine

I have to frequently go to Xbox settings, display & audio, digital audio and select DTS digital surround. For some reason xbox will switch to 7.1 uncompressed or 5.1 uncompressed. I hope MS fixes this soon.

If your using a 5.1 setting then all vocal audio will usaully come from the front center speaker. If you dont have a 5.1 setup be sure to select Stereo in the audio settings.

DD is not working properly with the 5.1 or 7.1 settings over HDMI. It cuts out dialogue from movies and games. I first noticed it with Ryse: Son of Rome. In each cut scene the rest of the sound was there but the characters mouths would move with no audio.

Also, DD is not currently suported via Optical cables AT ALL. (yes; you read that correctly)

Supposedly Microsoft is going to fix these issues with a patch sometime in early 2014.

In mean time you either have to use DTS over HDMI, or are forced to use old fashioned stereo sound via HDMI or Optical cables. So use one of those settings untill a patch comes to fix this audio mess that Microsoft seems to be in.

Or you could do what I did... and return your dissapointing Xbox One and trade it in for a PS4. After 11 years as an Xbox gamer I was so bummed with my Xbox One experience, I returned it to Amazon and joined the Playstation world.

I still cant beleive I will no longer be an Xbox guy. :/

It's been a while since I've payed Resi 1, but I'm pretty sure it had a fine helping of cheese too. And B Movie quality has always been a part of the series.
