    No video just audio when playing back a 4k Blu-ray disc on Xbox One X


    Got the XBox One X the other day. Last night I finally tried to play a 4k blu-ray movie on my LG C7 TV. Unfortunately, I don't see any video. I do hear the audio for the movie.

    Oddly, I do see some video playing when I put the disc in. I see the menu for disc to start the movie and when I tell the Xbox to play the movie I see if play the warning to not copy the disc and all that but when the movie actually starts, no video just
    audio.

    I did try turning off the "Allow 24hz" option. And on the advanced details for my TV connection I get all green check marks except for the 24hz option that I turned off.

    Not sure what to try next. Any help here would be appreciated!

    Play videos on burned discs

    Can Xbox One X play mkv's, mp4's, etc that have been burned to blank blu-ray/DVD discs? I have some discs that have the DVD and blu-ray folder/file structure, but I also have discs that have videos that were just drag and dropped, then burned and I'm curious if the One X will play these.

    4K Passthrough?

    I saw it has HDMI 2.0B thingy on this site.

    If say you connect an Xbox One X to your 4K HDTV, you should still be able to:

    1. Download the YouTube and Netflix apps, onto your Xbox One X, and still be able to watch in 4k 60fps?

    2. Use Xbox One X 4k Blu-ray player to watch 4k Blu-ray disc movies in 4k 60fps?

    3. Play games on Xbox One X, in 4k 60fps?

    .... right?

    Xbox One S doesn't recognise 4K compatibility on a 4K projector

    I believe that the Xbox One S can only do 4K through media, such as 4K blu-ray disc's / Netflix and so on,

    If trying to play games at 4K, you need the Xbox One X.
