No video from Skype on Xbox One

Sorry to hear that you're dealing with this issue trying to get skype to work.

If the previously posted troubleshooting steps don't work, then I would suggest what we call a soft reset.
It's a reset of your console back to factory settings but one that does not uninstall any of your games or apps and is a really good troubleshooting step for most issues.

Just make sure that before you go ahead with it, that you do know all of the sign-in information for any/all of your accounts(asthey
will be removed) and have easy access to your internet network.

Also make sure that you select the option denoted
reset and keep my games and apps.

I have the same problem on my newly purchased xbox one x. Let me know if you figured it out. Maybe the camera is too old - not compatible with software??

It works. It does actually work on Xbox - I see small video preview of myself on TV, the problem is that the person I'm connected to via Skype doesn't see a thing. I've tried with several clients on different platforms (Windows 10, 7, Android). I see them
but they don't. And of course they don't have any problems at all with Skype video while talking to other people on usual platforms (not Xbox).

you should try your cammera on pc, it can be broken or something
