    No video above 460p. Changed HDMI. Changed Monitor. Soft Reset. Now what?


    I've no video quality on either of my monitors or TV's. I've used the soft reboot to start up at 460p and when I go into setting to change back to 1080p or 4k it just goes black on both devices. Both devices and both HDMI leads work with other 1080p and 4k inputs so the problem is clearly isolated to my Xbox.

    Are there any other steps I can try or should I just scrap this and get a PlayStation now? (That is a joke)

    I'm guessing at this point its going to be the hardware as it was working fine before yesterday and nothing changed. Is it likely to be a component that can be changed or should I just scrap this one?

    We appreciate the details you have shared. By the way, may we ask if you have contacted the Team Xbox regarding this issue? If not yet, please send report to them as they can diagnose inability of the TV/monitor to switch back to 1080p and 4k. Considering you mention you did an update 2 days prior to the issue and that could be a good start of the investigation. It would be helpful for the team too, if you will mention the specs and brand of the TV and monitors you used for the replication of this issue.

    Please be guided with the steps provided here to send a report to Team Xbox (install Xbox Report a Problem app): Provide feedback to Team Xbox.

    Otherwise, you will proceed with the only solution you have in mind which is to service order request of your Xbox One S.

    Yeah, I've done these troubleshooting steps. I've even done a hard factory reset on my xbox now and same 460p issue. Definitely not the cables or monitors/screens. They work fine with other devices currently, including the original xbox one.

    The issue is Definitely the xbox one s. The port is cleaned, not blocked, or damaged in any way.

    In regards to updates. The xbox one s had a full update about 2 days prior to this issue.

    I belive the only solution is to take to a repair centre now.

    There are list of things to consider why this issue happens. Like HDMI cable should be certified Ultra High Speed, the TV or monitor is auto-detect and does it supports HDR10 media profile and HDCP 2.2, TV settings menu, HDMI port should be in right place, etc.,.     HDMI AV Cable reboot xbox

    I have the Microsoft dongle (sound adaper thingy) plugged into the AV port, and the HDMI running to my monitor.

    my AV port stuff runs to my external speaks.

    When i change the input on my monitor from HDMI, its fine, the xbox still runs, but when i change it back to HDMI, the xbox resets. Help?
