    No Update to MyVIP Star Rank despite purchases made through XBox Store


    I received an email stating that if I spent $50 in the XBox Store I would earn an extra star that would offer 2% back. My purchases made through the store have yet to appear in my rewards despite being made over a week ago. I have made two other additional
    purchases since then which also have not shown up, although I do understand it hasn't been 96 hours since those purchases were made. Either way, my original purchase of $29.99 still has yet to appear as seen here

    Also, why in the world is the only way I can support for an issue through a public forum and not XBox support for purchases. Extremely disappointing considering I now I have to wait until Monday and check back on a forum board for a response when I was just
    chatting with someone live. :-(

    From the FAQ:

    A MyVIP Star Rank is an exclusive feature of Xbox Live Rewards that gives members a certain % back in Rewards Credits for monthly digital purchases made in the Microsoft Store on your Xbox or on Windows (retail Microsoft Store purchases do not apply). In
    order to start earning your % back, you have to unlock your first star by spending at least $300 (or regional equivalent) on eligible content. While eligible purchases you make track towards your year-to-date Star Rank, your MyVIP Star Rank is recalibrated
    each year based on your previous year's spend. As your MyVIP Star Rank grows, so will the % you get back each month. Plus, if you're an Xbox Live Gold member, your percentage doubles, and you can earn up to 10% back each month in Rewards Credits.

    Please note: Purchase minimums refer to pre-tax totals.

    Since you have not made 300 EUR in eligible purchases, you are not eligible for MyVIP payback, since you do not have any MyVIP stars.

    I didn't get any Credits

    We only see one purchase on your account on July 23 for 6.75 GBP. A five star rank requires 1200 GBP in eligible spending off the Xbox store. Since you did not spend this amount, you did not reach five stars. Your total spending of 6.75 GBP puts you at zero
    stars. This means that you do not get payback. From our FAQ:

    What is MyVIP?

    MyVIP is an exclusive feature of Xbox Live Rewards that gives members a certain percentage back in Rewards Credits for monthly purchases made in the Xbox Store. In order to start earning MyVIP, you have to unlock your first star by spending at least £200 on
    eligible content. While eligible purchases you make track towards your year-to-date Star Rank, your MyVIP Star Rank is recalibrated each year based on your previous year's spend. As your MyVIP Star Rank grows, so will the percentage you get back each month.

    Pre-orders, in-game consumables, and subscriptions are not eligible for MyVIP. Since your $29.99 purchase was a EA Access subscription, that was not eligible for MyVIP, and so did not increase your progress on that offer. Your purchases made on the 17th

    You can earn Xbox Live Rewards Credit in two ways:

    1. By finishing the offers located on the MyMissions page at https://rewards.xbox.com/mymissions/ .

    -or-

    2. For non-offer purchases, you can earn Credits by earning a one star MyVIP level through purchasing at least $300 USD or regional equivalent of eligible content. After you receive your first star you will begin to earn a percentage of your eligible purchases
    back as payback Rewards Credit. Pre-orders, in-game consumables, and subscriptions are not eligible for MyVIP.

    In September 2014 we changed to the MyVIP policy. As a result, payback based off Gamerscore (MyAchievements) was discontinued. Also, as of July 2014, we do not award Credits for Xbox Live Gold renewals. In September 2015, we made some refinements to the
    program. One change that happened was an adjustment of MyVIP purchase thresholds. If you did not reach any MyVIP ranks with your purchases from September 2014-August 31st 2015, you were placed at a default rank. Since you were a zero star member, you did not
    get payback Credits on your purchases. You can check your current MyVIP level/progress at (https://rewards.xbox.com/myrewards/).

    Since you just hit your first MyVIP star, you will begin to see payback for your purchases. Payback is calculated as a monthly sum, and placed as pending in your account midway through the following month.

    Regarding your World of Tanks purchase, from the FAQ for that offer:

    Which Xbox Store content is eligible for this offer?

    This offer is only open to add-on content for Free to Play titles purchased from the Xbox Store. Add-on content includes but is not limited to gem/coin packages, additional skins, starter packs, etc. This does not include purchases made within the game,
    as well as purchases made using premium or earned currency.

    Since your purchase was made through an in-game storefront, and not the Xbox store, it was not eligible for that offer.

    We do not see your purchase as being made through the store. The only available add-on content for that game available through the store is shown here (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/store/p/world-of-tanks/c57l9gr0hhb7).
    Your consumable purchase is not on this page, and would have had to been made through the game. Neither is your add-on purchase. However, your add-on purchase increased your MyVIP because it is a MyVIP eligible purchase (add-on). Your Gold purchase did not,
    since it was a consumable purchase. Game consumables, pre-orders, and subscriptions are not eligible for MyVIP.

    Since you do not have any MyVIP stars, your purchase did not award payback. For non-offer purchases, you need at least one star before your start getting payback on your purchases.
