No support for out of warranty XBox in India

I called up Xbox support services (My call reference number - [Mod Removed]) in India, after asking a lot of questions about the device, I was informed that my device has a hardware failure. Surprisingly they also informed me that cannot
help me as the device is out of warranty and literally suggested me to throw the device in the trash can, as they cannot do anything about it.

I was not informed at the time of purchase that Microsoft will not provide any support once the device is out of warranty (which is only for a year), I would have bought some other company's product.

If Microsoft cannot provide after sales support, then why are they selling the product over the counter? and why are they not displaying at the store - "NO AFTER SALES SUPPORT, AFTER OUT OF WARRANTY", neither this is mentioned anywhere on the packaging of
Xbox.

This is very bad on part of Microsoft, I am looking for answers and they are not able to provide one, I will have to register the complaint at consumer forum in India.

Customer care is Pathetic

let me give me you in details.. Before purchase I contacted xbox live chat and ask if out of region DVD will work or not and what need to get it work in india. Executive told me to replace power adapter because current will not work it covers in warranty
you can change it US as well in India. That is why after reaching to India after so much search I had called Today)India Support Live chat people gave me India Support number after calling them they told me they cannot replace it as it is out of US and I
need to pay 4100/- My question if I would have known this I could have bought it from US or get it replace there.. first they waste my time,money what kind of support is this. What kind of warranty which is applicable in US only when I asked to purchase warranty
of INDIA they told me it cannot happen .. if you purchase it will be applicable in US only..

 

Imported Device Support in India

Dear Xbox Support Team,

I am Suraj from India. I was looking to buy xbox one S which was available through one of the distributors from Amazon India. But, it was mentioned that Xbox one will be imported from USA. and No warranties or support will be available in india. So, i wanted
to know

1. Blue-ray player from USA will play CD/ DVDs / Blue Ray Discs from all region or only USA?

2. As mentioned , xbox does not come under warranty, will it be repaired by support in india? (in case of any issues.?of course paid support)

3. Do you recommend me to buy xbox one S imported from USA or wait till it is released in india?

Original Xbox 360 consoles will no longer be repaired or replaced outside of warranty. However, if you own an Xbox 360 E or S, then you should still be able to

set up a repair. There will be a cost for that repair/replacement, but I do not know that cost for India.

If you run into issues setting up a repair using the site that M3tal provided, let me know. We'll be able to dig into it further from there.

Were you able to set up a repair using the site that M3tal provided above? You should still be able to set up a repair through there.

If not, please post back with images of the console so that I can confirm if you have a 360 E or S. From there, we can look into other options.
