No stream while using Twitch

Not a huge issue or anything, but here goes.

I setup my twitch channel to use the XBOX One console, now while I can snap and see it's actually streaming on twitch itself it's always displaying as offline rather than actually streaming.

I'm hoping for a solution to this, I don't really know what the problem could be as I've been streaming with other devices for a long time with no issues.

Twitch keep crashing.

I have the same problem as well. Twitch regularly crashes for my while watching a stream. The longer I watch a stream the more likely a crash may happen. Now with the new Twitch update the twitch data won't sync.

 

OK, so to clarify: on Xbox One, you start streaming and it says you're Live, but on Twitch it says you're offline?

There are only a few solutions I can think of, and some of them may seem stupid to suggest but I want to be thorough:

Are you sure you linked the correct Twitch account?

Does it actually say you're Live on the Twitch app, or did it fail without your knowledge? Or perhaps you're on the set-up screen (which shows your stream and, if applicable, Kinect camera preview, but is not actually streaming this)?

You could also get a friend to attempt to view your stream from their friends list - click on your name which will show you're streaming and they can click that to open the stream in the Twitch app. If that works, it further suggests it may be linked to
the wrong Twitch account.

I'm not sure what else it could be, but let us know if any of these scenarios apply and if not we can work from there.

 

Yeah that's what happens. It shows I'm streaming but on the actual twitch page it's offline, it does however update the feed to what I'm supposedly playing. But that's about as far as it goes. So i'd guess that would indicate it's all linked correctly.

The only idea I could come up with was that I have to do the same thing I had to do with the other console I have which was activating it on the twitch broadcaster page. But there is nothing there for activating the XBOX One.

Would changing the recommended upload speed help?

Unfortunately as I've only had the console a month or so I currently don't have any friends to check the stream on the actual console. They are all still on the 360.

 

Updating the feed just says that your Gamertag is streaming, it doesn't say which Twitch account it's linked to.

OK, so your second paragraph I'm not entirely clear if you've linked your Xbox account to your Twitch account. You can check whether you have here:
www.twitch.tv/.../connections

You can select Xbox One and follow the steps indicated. If you initially did this on another console, you may want to hit disconnect and do it again with the current console.

Let us know how you get on with that. I'll also dig up the Twitch-Xbox FAQ in the meantime in case that offers any insights.

 

That section did help. I did have XBOX One with a green tick, I deleted that and tried re-enabling everything and that seems to have worked.

I have done all of this. None of it worked. Same issues I even uninstalled twitch. Reconnected it. And nothing.
