No split screen

I feel this is a huge disappointment in the halo series,I througly enjoyed playing halo 1-4 as split screen co op. I brought halo 5 with the intention of playing it split screen co-op and then to find out I couldn't I feel ripped off, I am loosing faith
in Xbox and feel like selling all off my xboxs and going else where !!!!

DeathWatcher 69 I dont have an issue with people not happy about split screen, and there are some very valid post in the forums about it from actual fans that have been playing Halo since day one of its release on the original Xbox, but you also have all
these other post that are not real complaints just people screaming they got *** because they did not read the package or do any research on a new game, thats what I am voicing my opinion about. I dont understand how someone can feel *** over if they blindly
bought the game when it was clearly marked on the back of the package.. I do not want Halo to fail, but I also feel as though I have a right to voice the fact that I didnt feel *** over because I knew it did not have split screen, im not trying to be an
rear end about it. Also as I have tried to point out in other post on here going to the 343 forums would help get the message across to since thats were they would see all the complaints because I highly doubt they are getting on the Xbox Forums..

my brother just bought me halo 5, and there is a co-op option. has there been any update since then that split screen is possible?

 

Oh great, not this discusssion again, it's been said already, 343 removed local co-op and should not be buying Halo 5 if local co-op is their big thing. And just because of this one bad game doesn't make you regret getting an Xbox.

 

Geez, this whining about no split screen is getting old. I've said it before and I'll say it again.

It's ONE. SINGLE. GAME. MODE... and people are acting like it's ruined their entire gaming life. It isn't like they just dumped the whole campaign, story, or MP. Seriously, there are other game modes and plenty of great things about this game.

Anyone who got this game for the sole purpose of playing split screen and simply can't enjoy any of the other offerings it has, without raging in the forums, might want to come to grips with the fact that they're looking at this through a very narrow scope.
Halo, as a series, is much bigger and has so much more to it than just split screen. Anyone who is that disappointed, saying everything from "I'm done with Xbox", "Going to PS#"... etc. can do just that.

Seems there are plenty of people on XBL, playing Halo 5, that are willing to take your place.

 

I don't feel that their whining, I think it is fustration, in the past games of Halo had splitscreen multiplayer (for those of us that get visitors over, it's just as fun to do pick up games with people you know. I was only reading this because I want to
know more about the new Halo, since if I was to buy a Xbox One I want to know more before I buy it. I pre ordered Black Ops 3 for my Xbox 360, this has no splitscreen as well, or splitscreen multiplayer online, or campaign mode. The price on these games are
the same, if the price was lower, I can see about the whining thing, but why are these games full price. Prior sequel games of Halo & COD had these in them, so we tend to get use to what to expect. So the question is...why were these options excluded, if the
disc has only so much space is the problem, that is not the reason. When I loaded Black Ops 3 the first time, it automatically did a download update which took an hour (could not play), over 7 gigabites was downloaded to make it work. I assume it was like
the previous COD game which came with a second disc to do the same, Black Ops 3 did not have a second disc. Why are the getting away from splitscreen, is this the new trend, will future game releases (that had splitscreen in previous sequel games) do the same.
Why, this something all gamers like. This is almost like NEW car dealers taking radios out of NEW cars when selling the car or not including back seats, or there is no spare tire. Why did they start excluding splitscreen on Halo & Black Ops, would it of killed
them to include these options, like they did in the past. Those of you that say I'm whining, either never liked splitscreen or never have anyone over to play splitscreen with, for those of you I say: Your missing out on the fun it is to play this way, especially
because you set up the game to where everyone agrees to everyones liking, so everyone can enjoy it when playing splitscreen together. Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what your going to get, when you do know, don't buy or take back as a return.
The more I hear about games on Xbox One, the more not to waste money on the new machine. Until my favorite games on Xbox 360 are made backwards compatible on Xbox One, that is when I'll buy it, until then I will sit back and ebjoy my splitscreen games with
my friends and family on Xbox 360.

 

I have to agree, adult split screen is actually a very effective aspect in almost any split screen game. Baby won't notice but of course it is fun to play right next with your friend or sibling but it also affects attitudes and actions of players who are
seeking with split screen. For example, will you really yell and get super mad at the game infeont of someone probably not because it can be embarrassing but when you are alone, no one cares. I own halo 5 and the multiplayer is so different not not because
off war zone and all of the amazing guns and all, its because everyone is pretty much alone, nope you might find yourself fighting 2 player but what do they do, leave each other. This makes 1v1 duels supper common and you can tell that's not halo 5 goal. It's
to make halo an even more team based game (campaign and war zone and breakout game mode prove to us that this is a fact period) but if you got no one to play with as your co op buddy then that goal just went to the trash. The best reason we got no split screen
ua that when its not split screen (just yourself) a game will run on 60 FPS bit on split screen with 2 3 or 4 players, it runs on 30 FPS (If you don't get this you can tell the difference on split screen mode and just one player in a game.) Halo 5 also wanted
to push the Xbox one to its limit so split screen had to be taken away. The fact is that everyone know it shouldn't be halo getting pushed to the test. Halo has been great because it was an enjoyable game and is unforgettable because it was never an instance
game. Well thanks 343, you just gave away the number one huge thing that made halo successful, so successful that removing it will make the game loose a bunch of fan cab even just become a collapse even.

 

But I don't know that many people that plays split screen anymore. Split screen was a thing in the past, ever since we migrated to the Xbox 360, we don't use split screen anymore.

 

Call it what you want to, but when it CLEARLY states on the back of the box, that there is no split screen/ local co-op, when 343 has said for months to anyone not living under a rock that the game does NOT HAVE SPLIT SCREEN... then there are no reason for
more and more of these post that are nonsense of the constant crying of Halo 5 doesnt have split screen I feel ripped off, this isnt right bla bla bla bla.. Use some sense, look up the info, or just read the 20 other post about the crying of no split screen....
the split screen did not make Halo a success, Halo's online is what made it the best, Halo 1 on PC online was what made the first one so great, not split screening with 3 other people....

Trademark033 only the last gen version of COD Black Ops 3 is multiplayer only version, The Xbox One version has split screen, campaign everything that is missing... they had already said they wouldnt put the campaign and everything else on the last gen
systems...that they would be the multiplayer modes only...

I looked through the first 5 pages of this forum... and this is what I found (not including this thread). These are just 'off the top of my head' threads that I already knew were complaining about no split screen. I didn't really bother to see if there were
more.

You can say they're just frustrated all you want... and I won't deny they have a reason to feel frustrated if split screen is that important to them. But here's the thing.

If you're frustrated enough to want change and you want to see your concerns addressed, then it's not rocket science to understand that, as a consumer, your best path to a solution is to join with a number of others who feel the same and want the same thing
and have your voices heard together. If enough people get together, a plan can be made and 343 could be approached by a large enough group to merit a response. That involves actually doing a little research, the bare minimum of which would be finding an already
existing thread to post in. Even if it does nothing more than let you meet other people that feel the same way and have a discussion, it accomplished something. That's being a conscientious consumer.

If you're frustrated, but all you're going to do is rant, possibly be vindictive, throw a hissy and threaten to leave Xbox... etc., make it all about one's own inconveniences and disappointment... in essence... make it all about oneself, then it appears
the thing to do is start yet another complaint thread with no care or consideration that there may be other threads that already address the issue. AFAIC That's being a whiner.

 

The thing is 343 said they will look at split screen for Halo 6, but their not promising it....

 

i was sooo disappointed there was no split screen. Halo is suppose to be a social game.. it ruins it in a way makes me disappointed. still love the story little bit, im still having fun so far with multiplayer online.. it wont last without local play..
shame.. i guess i will switch to black ops 3rd party game with co-ops and local play when my buddies come by to check out the xbox one- game that also they can get on playstation 4.. amazing. next halo 6 or maybe a patch.. fix this please .. if not, then i
