No sound while in Halo infinite or Xbox Game Bar party

Okay try this: Open the Settings app (the gear in the start menu)

Open Accounts

Click Sign-in Options

Scroll down to Privacy

Uncheck "Use my sign-in info to automatically finish setting up my device and reopen my apps after an update and restart."

Restart your PC

Hi there Wesley welcome to the community forum! Christopher here, an Xbox fan just like you and has been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. I suggest uninstalling the app completely! Everytime that it tried to give me a hard time I do this and it works wonders! Here are the steps!

HI Christopher! thank you for the advice but unfortunately after following the instructions on the link you sent it still does not work. I believe this is because it uninstalls the xbox app and not the xbox game bar app which is where I experience problems. after running the command, the normal xbox app was still there as well so I uninstalled it to be sure. On the Xbox game bar settings there is an option to uninstall the app but it is greyed out for some reason so I ran the repair instead which did not fix the problem. I also believe it has something to do with being signed into a Microsoft account because my sound is perfectly fine during the start up of Halo Infinite. But when I press enter to get into the menu the sound goes away. I think this is because when I press enter it signs me into the account which is required to play the game. I have already tried several different accounts to make sure it wasn't mine specifically.

I would also like to note that when I use my headset with the wire, instead of Bluetooth, I can hear the game but not discord.

To confirm if the issue is with the game itself, we suggest downloading other games and see if you still get the same audio problem. If this is a game issue Halo Infinite can provide you more information and how to fix it.

I found workarounds that might help you resolve the problem.

• Use an analog 3.5mm audio cable to connect your headphones directly to the PC while playing Halo.
  
• Switch back to USB cable or Bluetooth for other applications.
  
• If this does not fix, uninstall programs associated with your headphones.

The issue occurs while running the game via Steam or Xbox Live. Only Halo Infinite is affected by this. This does not occur on any other game.
