No sound while at dashboard.

Discus and support No sound while at dashboard. in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; When I play any game on my Xbox 360 Slim, my sound works great.     No sound while at dashboard.


    When I play any game on my Xbox 360 Slim, my sound works great. When I go to the dashboard, I have no sound at all. Any ideas on how to fix this problem?

    I finally found out what that sound was? why the hell would they intentionally put that feature in? no not the soothing sounds of the ocean from ps2 days, or some light hip hop... *** CRICKETS?

    gah... anywho my issue is fixed now too, thanks OP

    You say you've tested your cables, what about the speakers of your TV? I have never heard of anyone having this issue.

    After searching Google, the only thing I found was your TV being infested with crickets, which I doubt is the case. Or an issue with your speakers, this is occurs most often with surround sound, do you have that?

    Go into the dashboard sound settings and look for the rating background sound settings.

    Make sure it is switched off as that causes an annoying noise to play in the background.

    It's not the Television, I hear the sound through the headset, television, and all forms of sound output- which I implied by referring to the Turtle Beach X41 headset, it's Digital RF and the Laser Cable going directly from the Xbox to the Digital RF.

    I'm sorry if my above reply sounds condescending, Hostile or otherwise offensive. It's not intended, I'm just overly agitated because I really like my sound system and I enjoy playing music from the Dashboard using my Music Pass.
