No sound when using xbox live TV.

So here's my issue. I just bought my xbox one yesterday and got it all set up yesterday evening. It recognizes my Vizio TV, and it recognizes my Cox Cable, but when I try to watch TV through my xbox, there is no sound. When I play games or navigate the xb1
menu, I get the boops and sounds from those just fine.

I contact support last night, but all I got was a copy and pasted list of what to do. I still tried all of it (up to and including a factory reset) to no effect.

Any suggestions?

NO SOUND!

When my xbox is plugged into my tv using a HDMI cable, I have no problems with sound. But when I plug my xbox into my dad's tv, there is no sound. How do I fix this?

 

no sound on tv streaming apps (netflix,lovefilm,bbc,4OD)

Hopefully someone can help with this. I recently purchased an Xbox 360 slim. I've connected it to my LG television via an HDMI cable and I'm only really using it to watch tv streaming apps. Unfortunately this is where the problem starts.

When on the xbox dash the sound comes through fine. When starting up the TV streaming apps and browsing, the sound works fine. However, once I start watching a film, no sound at all, and then when I back out of the film there's no sound on the dash at all.

I'm not using any surround sound systems, just plain old hdmi from tv to xbox.

Any ideas?
