No sound when playing Fortnite on my TV

No sound in Fortnite after a matchmaking error could be due to a change in your audio output settings or a temporary glitch. To fix this, try checking your audio output device in Fortnite's settings, restarting the game, or checking your console or PC's audio settings. If the issue persists, restarting your router and the game may help, as server-related issues could be causing the issue.

1 Check Fortnite's audio settings.

Open Fortnite and go to Settings.

Navigate to the Audio tab.

Make sure the Audio Output Device is set to the desired output, e.g. TV speakers, headphones.

If you see multiple options, try the one that doesn't say "Standard Output".

2. Restart the game and the launcher.

Close Fortnite and the Epic Games Launcher completely.

Restart the launcher and Fortnite.

3. Restart your router.

If you suspect a network problem, restart your modem or router.

This may resolve temporary connection issues.

hi, its a TB Recon 150, wired. I have tried a new TB Recon 50P and have the same issue. My son mainly plays Fortnite but we have tried Minecraft too and we can still hear sound through the TV as well as through the headset. He can hear his friends but
they can't hear him when playing Fortnite.

Same problem here.

Some games I don’t have any sound on my tv. Like Fortnite, AVGN, call of Duty and Grand Theft Auto.

My Dashboard have no sound too.

But some games like Metal Gear Solid V, Flight Simulator, Halo, have sound (for now)

I need to play with headphones plugged in my controller.

Seems more and more Plausible that it’s due to the August 23rd update.

Please, Microsoft, fix this update soon.

My set up is Audio through HDMI to the TV then a pass through to a soundbar. But it still crackles even when sound is just played through the TV.

Okay. So you get sound when you are watching TV through the Xbox one from the TV app, but you don't get any sound when playing a game or movie, correct?
