  1. NO SOUND USING DOLBY ATMOS SOUNDBAR

UPDATE. The solution was just reset the soundbar !!!!!!!!

You can do a "re-init" (not sure if its a full factory reset" of the K950 by turning the soundbar on and holding down the gear-wheel button on the remote (it's the buttonb between Effect and Level) for what seems like 15+ seconds. You'll see numbers appear
like "150 0" for a second then it says "init" then powers off.

Just one question is not possible connect my two Samsung 360 r3 speakers to dolby atmos en mode hdmi ?

Oh My GOSH! Hahaha! Thanks for the update!

I read that darn sound bar manual and I didn't see that!

I looked up the Samsung speakers you mention and it looks like the only type of connection they have is bluetooth.

There is a bluetooth app for your phone for a multi speaker setup.

Also, there's a way to connect the speaks to the samsung tv from the speaker manual that might work.

Connecting a Samsung TV to the speaker

Connecting to a Samsung TV via bluetooth (TV SoundConnect)

The TV SoundConnect function lets you conveniently connect a Samsung TV to an external

speaker wirelessly and listen to the TV's sound through the speaker.

1 Plug the WAM speaker into an outlet, and then touch the MOdEbutton on its top one

or more times until you hear “TV SoundConnect is ready.”

2 Touch and hold the MOdE button for more than 5 seconds to reset TV SoundConnect.

3 A pop-up appears on the TV asking you to approve the connection.

    Approve to continue.

NO SOUND USING DOLBY ATMOS SOUNDBAR

This may sound silly but are you using an updated HDMI cable? You will want to run one of the newer cables that can handle at least the HDMI 2.0 spec and 2.1 if you can get it. You don't need the HDMI cables listed with Ethernet as no one really uses that
standard and probably never will. You're looking for high speed Category 2 not standard category 1 speed HDMI. Beyond making sure you have a high speed HDMI cable you don't have to look for premium features they try and upsell you like gold plating etc. The
cable with either word or it won't. They make cheap "Certified" high speed cables as well. Another option that may be a better solution is running optical and keeping the audio out of the HDMI stream altogether. Some TVs introduce lag in the audio causing
a slight desync especially when passing audio through to another device beyond the tv/monitor's speakers.

My Samsung was a nightmare until I bypassed the HDMI and went optical. It may very well be the atmos encoding is being stopped by the Samsung hardware.

This may be of interest found from another user elsewhere:

"I just spoke with a Samsung support rep, and for once, I didn't get the same "we don't have any issues with our product" crap...

In fact, I was told, very effortlessly, that Samsung is working on bringing these features (Atmos over ARC and HDR Passthrough) soon... From the conversation, the rep said they don't have an official ETA, but it should be coming before end of Q1.

    Something to look forward to!"

ATMOS on most recent Xbox One X

    First of all:

While you DO need the Atmos App, you do NOT need to buy it, unless you want to use the Atmos for Headphones feature.

With your Atmos soundbar, you already paid the Dolby Atmos licensing fee, and the free App is sufficient to play Atmos sound via your soundbar.

    However:

Getting sound through your TV and the soundbar depends on a lot of factors. Including on how you connect console, TV and soundbar together.

The trouble is, that some TV's don't support Dolby Atmos via their ARC (Audio Return Channel), so if you connect the console to the TV, the TV can't send Atmos sound coming from the HDMI input from the console to the soundbar. So also check if your TV's
ARC is capable to support Dolby Atmos.

Alternatively some soundbars allow you to plug your console into the soundbar, and the soundbar forwards the video to the TV. That way you would probably get Atmos sound, but some Soundbars are unable to forward 4K HDR video to the TV.

So if bad comes to worse, you might have to exchange your TV as well as the soundbar. So please check with Samsung if both your TV and soundbar are REALLY capable of what you expect (i.e. 4K video as well as Atmos pass through).

How do you set up dolby atmos on xbox one without getting this error code 0x80bd0009

Is the xbox connected directly to the sound bar?

Have you also checked that dolby atmos is enabled on that soundbar?

Another XSX Dolby Atmos sound delay post. . .

Thanks for your reply, but that has obviously not resolved the issue.

I've done a few tests regarding the apps.

When the CX has eARC on and Digital Sound out set to passthrough and Allow Passthrough setting is ticked on the XSX, the sound bar is not recognised as an atmos capable device, but Netflix, Disney+, blu-ray player and the Dolby Access app all send atmos signal to the soundbar with no noticeable delay. No atmos sound in the XSX menu or in games is able to be played only the other sound format (not DTS-X though).

When the CX has eARC turned off and digital sound out set to passthrough the XSX recognises the soundbar as a Dolby Atmos capable device. The soundbar then receives atmos audio, however delays are now introduced in everthing mentioned above apart from the Dolby Atmos app. The sound delay in this situation, seems not as bad as when the the CX has digital sound out set to auto.

When the CX has eARC turned on and digital sound out set to auto the XSX recognises the soundbar as a Dolby Atmos capable device, however everything has a delay introduced. Strangely Netflix and the bluray app seemed the least affected, but the Dolby Access app and Disney+ it was quite noticeable and in games it was worst.
