    Xbox one connection to HP Compaq LA2306x pc monitor

    ok so basically my pc monitor couldn't go into the Xbox hdmi lead that came with it so I went out and bought a new lead that fits in both but my pc monitor says I need to check my video cable and im not siren why It's not working any help appreciated

    Hdmi pc screen sound options

    I recently bought a samsung LED screen for my pc, It has a HDMI slot on the back, I connect my newest model black xbox via HDMI and get a great picture, But i have no sound as my LED screen has no speakers, Is there any way i can hook something up to the
    xbox to recieve sound, Ive tried a optical out cable to a sound blaster creative box, But got no sound, I also tried a Av and HDMI cable at the same time, But just get a black screen and no sound, Has anybody got any solution to my problem, Thanks,

    If the Xbox is working with the same HDMI cable on a different TV, then that would lead me to believe the HDMI port on the TV in question is bad. I had a bad HDMI port on my TV as well that just went out one day. If it works on another TV with the same
    HDMI cable then I would say the Port on the TV has quit working.

    Getting disconnected again!

    Well I have the exact same error codes as you with just the channel that differs. I'm using an Xbox official Hdmi cable which I can't say is helping if the Hdmi lead is the problem.

    No sound output

    Hi - my sound settings are set to Digital Stereo as I'm just playing straight though my TV.

    I have two cables; one from Amazon and one says 'Sky'. I can't find the particular cable that came with the xbox. However both cables work OK when I plug the Xbox into my LG monitor (i.e. I get sound and picture.) It's only when I try and use the Xbox with
    my new Toshiba TV that I get no sound. (But the Playstation does give me sound using the same cable and the same HDMI input on the TV.)

    It's weird!

    I have a sony av receiver conected to my xbox one and it works fine, the xbox hdmi out is connected to my game hdmi input in the back of the receiver and the hdmi out of the receiver to my tv. I went in the xbox sound settings and changed the settings to
    the correct ones, i dont know what the directtv hdmi is that you mention, i just have the leads connected that i have said above, i have had some issues with my equipment fitted in the past because of poor quality leads, you could try swapping them around

    My Xbox 360 Slim HDMI port won't work!!

    This is quite strange as it should pick up the HDMI right away no matter what resolution you choose. I was going to say that these cables can be quite touchy but as you have tried it with your friends it cannot be the cable and maybe an issue with your Xbox
    HDMI port.

    You say you have a blank screen, can you hear any sound?

    Even when I'm not displaying in HD I can still see the display discovery option

    Settings>System>Console Settings>Display>Then second from bottom is display discovery.

    There could also be a little dust got into the back of the Xbox try removing all the cables and giving it a clean and then put cables back in but leave the HDMI one till last.
