  1. No sound to Astro A50's via Mixamp... only through new chat adapter

I just bought the new stereo chat adapter to use with my Astro A50's that I got earlier this week. I tried the A50s before I received the adapter (game audio only - no chat) and they worked fine. After updating the controller and plugging it in, my headset
started to turn off on its own every 5 minutes or so. After some quick research, I found that the A50s turn off automatically after 5 minutes without detecting any
game sound. Turns out all the audio that was running through my headset was coming only through the new chat adapter, and the headset considers that
chat audio. After messing with the volume settings, I realized that I was receiving no sound from the Mixamp.

I tested this twice: once by turning off the Mixamp (I could still hear sound via the chat adapter) and once by unplugging the headset from the chat adapter (there was no sound at all). It seems that the Mixamp, via the optical cable, is not sending any
audio to the headset anymore. Again, it worked fine before I updated my controller, so I'm assuming the problem is on Microsoft's end. I can deal without the Dolby 5.1 for a bit, but it's really irritating to have to turn the headset on over and over again
    every 5 minutes.

Has anyone else had this issue? Any solutions?

    :)

  2. Xbox One Stereo Chat Adapter Problem

I purchased the chat adapter and hooked it up to my Astro A40's (has Mixamp). Now the problem I have is that the audio coming out of the adapter is the game sound mixed with the chat. So using this on the Astro mixamp is causing a slight echo, and the
game sound is much louder than the chat.

Is there a way that the game sound can be not piped through the adapter, and only the chat be sent through?

  3. Only Getting Stereo Sound Astro A50.

Ugh where to begin. About 3 days ago my Astro A50 mixamp stopped working. I looked and noticed the Dolby Digital Button would not turn on when I pressed it on the mixamp. I updated the firmware, power cycled my xbox, bought a new mixamp, new cables, and
nothing seems to be working. I am getting all my sound through the Chat Adapter so it is all coming through as Stereo Audio. When I unplug the adapter, I loose all sound. For some reason, the Mixamp is not communicating with the Xbox One. I can pair the headset
fine, but I dont get any sound. I can even unplug the Mixamp and still get sound through the chat adapter. Anyone have this issue or have any fixes? This has been 3 days of hell for me. Astro Support never gets back to you. Please help.

  6. I tried this and it still does not work. I only get sound if the a50 is plugged into the chat adapter. I've updated the firmware from both the PC and Xbox One controllers, set the optical and bitstream, maxed voice on the headset, and then played with every
conceivable combination on the chat adapter. Nothing has worked. I've turned it on and off, uinplugged and plugged things in and still nothing. I still only get audio if the a50 headset is plugged into the chat adapter.

  11. I've paired my devices multiple times. I've already been through Astro's support, done everything they could recommend, and even sent it in to be inspected, but since it works on a PC just fine, they've deducted that the problem is with Microsoft. After
reading this thread, I think that it is a problem with the adaptor.

Oh and you guys must make sure that the chat adapter is all the way up in voice chat so keep hitting the microphone plus button until it beeps or whatever then make the game sound from the astros up. It's all about what you do not microsoft

  14. My 360 never had the red ring of death, but that didn't mean it wasn't one of Microsoft's problems.

I've followed all of the steps on how to setup the A50 with the Xbox One, including adjusting the sound balance, which wouldn't even effect our headsets turning off. My A50s' work on my 360 and computer, and my proprietary headset worked with the console,
so my process of elimination takes it to the adaptor.

I am also experiencing this issue with the astro a40s. I am hoping someone finds a solution soon. I am only receiving audio through the headset adapter and not the optical cable. Frustrating!
