    Hi All

    I have recently had trouble with my controllers not having sound or party chat coming through.

    I have done a hard reset and also reset the xbox back to standard but kept the games on it.

    After a hard reset my wireless controller has sound in the menu for about a minute then its nothing.

    I have tried 2 different controllers in both wireless and also connected via usb to the xbox.

    I have tried 2 different headsets as well but still nothing.

    The headsets work on other devices and have sound coming through them.

    I start a party on the xbox to see if the mic is working and it says it cant detect any microphone.

    I cant find anything on the net to even remotely work out whats wrong.

    Does anyone have any idea what might be up with it?

    Using a turtle beach recon 50X and a the other is Plantronics RIG 400HX.

    Both of which have worked perfectly before

    Hi there

    According to the xbox and plugging them into my pc the firmware is all up to date.

    the slim controller has firmware 3.1.1221.0

    and the older xbox controller has firmware 2.3.2385.0

    the one that came with the s console and also an older model xbox 1

    Sorry to hear about your issue. Double check your audio controls to make sure nothing has changed during your reset, and reset/power cycle your router, if possible, when you do a power cycle of the Xbox for a refresh. If nothing changed, and it still doesn't
    work, I recommend requesting a call back from Microsoft Support. It's possible the console may need to be repaired. For individuals using the Xbox One S, I have seen some information that a headset adapter may resolve the issue, but it may or may not work
    for you.

    Hi thank you for reaching out to us!

    Have you tried seeing if your controller needs a firmware update?

    You can find that in the Xbox settings, under 'Kinect & Devices' then should be an option called 'Device & Accessories'.

    Your Xbox controller will appear and just go ahead and select 'More Options'

    If this doesn't work maybe we can try something else :)
