No sound/sound issues

I have been having sound issues ever since the dashboard update. I have always used my xbone for my media hub since day one. But since this plate after I turn my Xbox on and watch TV I will lose sound immediately or a few minutes after. I can go into my
audio settings and "change" my settings to what they already were and the sound will come back for 1-5 minutes again. Now when I go directly to or go to my funimation app when the sound works 9/10 tines I won't lose sound. Now this sound issue is becoming
a problem since it NEVER happened until this update. Something that needs to be fixed

Sound Issues

TV speakers.

There really is nothing special about my set up. It's hit or miss on some games it does it and on other it doesn't. I don't know if there is a setting that I messed up in the xbox or if its simply the audio channel that the developer used for the speach?

sound issues

Since I joined the ambassador program (6 days ago) I have helped 14 people that really do not know how to use the forums. They have told me that they feel better getting real time solutions exactly when they want. The only reason I joined is to help. I swear
to god that I know all about the things I own and I am eligible to help everyone. That's the first mistake I have made. I started helping people out on the forums and just because I made that ONE mistake and just because I am an ambassador I get told off by
some random guy that doesn't know me at all. Whats wrong with people!

What troubleshooting steps have you been through to try to resolve the issue? If you haven't already tried a hard reset then hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds or until the console shuts down completely then wait for a couple of minutes
and power it back up. See if that resolves the issue. Let us know.

i have the same issue. ihave replaced all of the cord, drained the power from my xbox, tv, and cable box. ihad the cable guys out and replace my box. the problem persists sonow ithink it is the update. help?

Are you on the Xbox One or Xbox 360? What kind of headset are you using? Are you able to use other headsets and hear sound through them? Let us know and we'll be happy to help troubleshoot this further for you.

You most likely have to run an optical audio cable from your Xbox one to your tv (if it has an optical audio input that is) if you want to get the audio to your sound bar. Audio should still come out through the tv's built in speakers though.

Hey there Spartan!

The issue you're describing definitely sounds odd (no pun intended, just couldn't think of another way to say that). If you can, I'd like to see a video of the issue just so we can hear what you're hearing.

It's possible that the console may be in need of a repair, but there's a couple things we can try first.
The initial thing I would try would be hooking your Xbox One console to a different TV to see if you get the same sound distortion on multiple consoles.
