    No sound red dead redemption 2 on XBox, except minor things


    Greetings

    We have Xbox ultimate game pass. We have been playing RDR2 for a month or so, and twice now, the sound has disappeared, except for the gun shots at the beginning and whistling for the horse, everything else, is gone. This is the game, as all other games
    have audio, as does the Xbox console itself. The first time, we tried everything, and all of a sudden it worked. This time, however, did all the same steps, and nothing.

    We have

    - re-set the audio to stereo, then back again: nothing

    - changed HDMI cable (which because all other games work, should not be the issue, but did it anyway) : nothing

    - turned off the machine for a couple hours : nothing

    - uninstalled the game: nothing

    - prayed to God: nothing

    - stomped around angrily yelling at it: nothing

    As you can see, am really perplexed by this. I am not about to reset the console, and have to reinstall everything over one game, but how would that even fix it ? There is no audio issue with any other game except this one. I am not the only one with this
    problem, given how many threads exist for this\

    I am in Singapore, using a Xbox One, via GamePass Ultimate.

    Please help ! I am about to finish the game, after spending 80+ hours on it, and no audio, so cannot play it

    I checked this for my and my brothers account and that is the result. Looks a little bit strange or? On My Account the Ultimate Edition is listed twice. I think this is not correct and on my brothers account ultimate edition is missing. Pre-Order Bonus is

    Hi, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

    Just a friendly reminder though that the Red Dead Redemption 2: Story Mode is just an add-on or DLC addition to Red Dead Redemption 2 which means that it requires the base game, you will be needing to buy the base game that is sold separately.
    It's not the base game that is needed. It is Red Dead Online. When you state that the base game is needed it sounds like people need to buy Red Dead Redemption 2 but that is not the case. Red Dead Redemption 2 contains both the single player story and the online portion. Red Dead Redemption 2 is not the same as Red Dead Online. They have 2 different names. Story Mode is DLC for Red Dead Online. It is not DLC for Red Dead Redemption 2 as you have said.

    Hey Manuela, sure thing. It was the Red Dead Redemption 2 deluxe edition for the Xbox one, not series x or s.
