    Hi I can't seem to get any sound out of my speakers and I understand that's neither my monitor or speakers are Microsoft but the only options for changing any audio settings are on my xbox one so anyway I have some sumvision speakers and a lenovo monitor
    when I plug in the speakers into the monitor there is no sound whilst on my xbox except when I have my headphones plugged into my xbox remote

    I never had this problem when I had the same set up but with everything plugged into my Hitachi telly I was wondering if anyone could help on possibly what settings my xbox needs to be changed to on my xbox whilst plugged into the new monitor hope you can

    I have a MSI G241 monitor, a Xbox one X, and a LG Z407 Speaker. I have the speaker plugged into my monitor and HDMI for my Xbox. But the speaker isn’t playing any sound. How can I fix this?

    I bought an eARC HDMI, hopefully it’ll work and I’ll be able to hear the audio through my speakers. Right now I have the speakers plugged into my monitor with a audio jack and HDMI connecting my Xbox and monitor and no sound is playing.

    What exactly have you plugged your console into?

    My guess is you've not connected it to the computer, but rather the PC monitor. Am I right?

    If it's the monitor then it likely won't have built in speakers, most don't. If your monitor has no speakers you'll need an adapter and a set of speakers to output sound.

    This problem is with the sound from the X Box One to the monitor speakers (HDMI), replaced monitor and same problem.. Tried external speakers plugged into the monitor and no difference.

    Yeah my monitor is just fine now with picture and everything. I have no more problems. I just need to figure out how to get sound on my xbox one now through my monitor. I have external speakers but i dont know where to plug them in.

    the monitor i buy was for use of a computer and i have a aditional speakers for the pc and now i want to use the same monitor for the xbox..
    Your monitor should have a 3.5mm audio jack (most do). If you already have speakers that are connected to the audio out on your PC, disconnect them and plug them into the 3.5mm jack on the back of the monitor. This way you can enjoy sound from both your PC and your console via the same set of speakers, like you would if your display was a TV.

    I would also increase the audio output on the monitor settings to 100% once the speakers are connected, they're usually defaulted to 50% and then adjust the volume via the speakers themselves.

    @ngocphi: Most monitors, even the 'gaming' ones, don't generally have built in speakers.
