    No sound on Xbox One.


    Sound has suddenly stopped working on my Xbox. Everything was working the other day.

    All games are still accessible and DVDs play but no sound from either.

    The HDMI cables have been swapped and I also tried different ports in my TV with no luck.

    I have put everything back as original with HDMI going from Xbox to HDMI 1 port on the TV.

    HDMI audio is set to stereo uncompressed.

    Soft Factory Reset was performed (keeping games and Apps intact)

    The console is less than one year old.

    Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

    Ill eventually just send the sound out to my sonos system as i buy more stuff for it.

    It also helps in multiplayer when there is no uav up and you can hear the footsteps of the enemy.

    Hi,

    There really isn't enough information or any sort of way we would be able to tell you what you'd do in this case. I'm assuming that you'd need to take advantage of the Optical Port that's on the back of the Xbox One for some sort of sound, but I honestly wouldn't
    be able to tell you without getting more information about the console.

    I'm also not sure if you'll be able to use your own optical devices (headsets, etc) as they did announce that it's not going to be compatible with any sort of Xbox 360 accessories.
