    No sound on TV until Xbox One restarted


    Hello,

    I recently set up a new Samsung Smart TV and have connected an Xbox One, 360, and PS3 into the first three HDMI ports. Unfortunately, every time I switch to either HDMI port for the Xbox One or 360 and power the device on, I get video but no sound. However,
    if I then restart the Xbox systems, the audio works. PS3 works fine. I've tried setting the Xbox video settings from auto-detect to HDMI, adjusting the HDMI audio (bitstream, etc), but the issue persists. Have others encountered this issue with Xbox systems,
    and if so, have you found a solution?

    Xbox One issues after 07.02.16 update

    My Xbox one is no longer playing sound from Blue-Rays. It plays TV sound and will continue to play TV sound while Blue-Ray picture is running. This is since the latest update. I tried turning off the TV source then I have no sound. I restarted Xbox one twice
    but no help.

    No audio when watching live tv

    Hello all, I am having trouble with the sound on my Xbox one. Currently I run the sound from my xfinity cable box through my Xbox one to my Marantz receiver. All was working fine until the Xbox July update. Now 80 percent of the time I get no sound while
    watching TV. All other system/game/blu-ray sounds work, just not TV. No cabling or setting have changed. The only way I can get the TV sound working currently is to go to the troubleshooting option and click through the reset TV settings prompts. The audio
    then come on after "searching for TV signal" and will work until powered off. I have tried resetting the audio settings on the xbox, the receiver, and my tv to no avail. Is anyone else having a similar issue?

    Live TV Intermittent No Audio or Stuttered Video

    This is a definite problem. Live TV worked flawlessly before NXOE and now hard restarts are a daily requirement. Stuttering TV, Loss of sound.

    This is a real issue though as i may be forced to 'pull the plug' on this setup until it's fixed seeing how this is driving the main TV room for the family.

    Charter > Xbox > TV.

    Xbox one headsets have been pushed back until Early 2014. That means no surround sound or thrid party headsets until after december... Which is terrible considering the mic that comes with the xbox one sucks as does having to use my tv as a sound system.

    direct tv not working

    Originally watching TV through the Xbox with Directv worked fine for me - I have a Directv HR20 STB. Two days ago all the sudden the Xbox One couldn't recognize the signal from the STB - couldn't watch TV at all or even access the oneguide. I tried swapping
    HDMI cables, changing the surround sound setting back to stereo, etc.. Nothing worked until I unplugged the Xbox One for 10 sec and then restarted it - then it could see the TV signal just fine. Now it works but hopefully this doesn't continue to happen.

    Clearly there is a software glitch here..

    One thing that seems to work is closing the TV App, maybe even several times. If this doesn't work try restarting the Xbox and you should have sound back.
