No sound on PC when steaming a game with XBOX App

When I connect to my XBOX ONE via the XBOX APP on my Windows 10 PC I don't get any of the XBOX sounds, just the video. Same thing if I stream a game, I can hear the game sounds coming from the TV connected to my XBOX but nothing on my PC? Same deal with
the menu sounds etc, they come out of the TV speakers but no to my PC? Anybody know what I have to change settings wise to make it happen?

Xbox App Streaming Controller Stops Responding

Hey Hammer! Using a standard XO controller, has an audio jack, no idea if its 3.5mm.. I use this controller on PC games without any connectivity issues, it's isolated in Xbox App Steaming. I'll find another controller to test. Downloaded the Xbox Beta
app, and it does the same thing through that streaming too, I've also submitted feedback on the issue as requested.

Why can't you watch streaming live video on this app? (NBA D-League)

NBA D-League signed a deal with youtube to steam games live for free. I want to watch my team (Portland Maine Red Claws) on my TV on the app instead of my PC screen. Why doesn't this app allow you to watch steaming live videos on youtube?

 

Hi Funkier, We haven't observed other reports on this issue. if your able to reproduce can you please report this issue via Xbox App Beta using the "report a problem"? Let us know if you submitted a report and we will request and investigation.

I got it working, sort of? I went into the settings for audio and changed it to Bitstream out. That got me sound on my PC but not on the TV. Changed it back to Stereo uncompressed and then both were working? Only thing is, its very very low volume on my
PC. I have to turn the volume way up on my speakers to hear it. That makes any PC sounds very loud. It's far from an ideal setup to say the least. It's barely usable this way. How do adjust the sound level for the XBOX game stream so its louder?

 

Hi FunkierTable86, there is no specific way to control volume once you start streaming, but you may want to check under Control Panel, select Hardware and Sound, and then select Manage audio devices. Make sure your audio device for both input (microphone)
and output (speakers) is set correctly on your PC before your start streaming.

That's all set correctly. It's only the audio coming from the XBOX App that is very low. I can watch a video online, play music in Media player, and all PC system sounds are at normal easy to hear levels. Open the XBOX app and stream to my PC and its almost
inaudible. On the TV connected to the XBOX its fine and easy to hear. If I turn the volume up on my PC load enough to hear it, everything else is blaringly load. Why is there no volume control in the XBOX APP itself?

Already done. For now I'm using Ear Trumpet to equalize things. It works but its a bit of a pain adjusting all the sliders when I want to stream a game, and then adjust it all back to normal when I'm done.
