No sound on certain downloaded/installed games.

I have a XBox Series X, the sound works everywhere in the XBox throughout the menus and in some games. I've had issues with two games so far Farming Simulator 22 and Halo Infinite. I downloaded both of those games via XBox Game pass and when I try and play them locally there is no sound. If I uninstall them and launch them via Cloud Gaming I get sound. I tried purchasing Farming Simulator 22 to see if purchasing the game would help and it doesn't, I have no sound if I install the game.

I reached out to XBox support and have not gotten any help. Anyone else having this issue and has anyone found a solution.

That's odd, and just to cover the possibility.
Can you try connecting the console to a different screen? Or using a completely different HDMI cable?

I've tried it with both Dolby Digital and with Stereo uncompressed. I've tried changing my audio to the built in TV speakers to remove my Samsung sound bar from the equation. I've tried the Solution 1 and 2 from the link you sent me, I'm not using chat so Solution 3 doesn't apply, my XBox is connected directly to the TV via HDMI so Solution 4 doesn't apply. Lastly the games that do have sound and when I use apps like Youtube on the XBox there aren't any sound issues with the soundbar or the built-in speakers.

May I know if you tried using a different sound setting?

For example, if you're using 5.1 audio change it instead and select Stereo uncompressed

You can do this via Settings > General > Audio output

If the issue persists try with each audio option available.

By the way, may I know if you tried everything from this article?

Also, check if your Xbox system needs an update via Settings > System > Updates

A Microsoft Chat support representative may have found the solution. I have in the past disconnected the HDMI cable and power cycled the device by doing a Full Shutdown via the menu and pulling the power. Neither of those actions resolved the issues. The rep had me power cycle via the power button pressing it for 10 seconds and then pulling the power and HDMI out of the back of the XBox. This resolved the issue.

The rep said that it clears cache when you powercycle but that was done before maybe its the way you power cycle I'm not sure but try those steps.

1. Hold Power button on the console down for 10 seconds.
2. Unplug the power cable and the HDMI cable from the back of the device for at a least a minute or two to be safe.
3. Plug everything back in power up and test.

ive installed the game, downloaded the patch, installed hd and the sound for me is still way out of sync with the video.
