    No Sound Mixer


    A few months ago I lost the ability to use my Mic and communicate in game. I also lost all audio.

    I have done a soft and hard reset of my Xbox One S and still have the same Mic issue. The Audio is back on the tv however. It seems like the Sound Mixer is nowhere to be found. It should be in Display and Sound but is not there. Also when you go to the
    Settings, Kinect and Divides, Divides and accessories, then to the "..." menu, the Volume menu can not be selected, it just skips over it.

    Any thoughts on how to get headset volume and Mic working again? I appreciate any help

    The headset adapter is an interesting idea, however, the two controllers are fairly new, with one of them ordered from Microsoft during the summer of 2019. They both worked fine until about 2 months. I replaced the headset with a new one, it worked for
    a few days, then stopped but it is not the headset that isn't working. The XBox One S does not show the volume adjustment bar. I am sure that must be the problem.

    I have tried updating the firmware, but they both say that they have the latest update.

    Sounds strange, maybe do a factory reset. Hopefully, that may help.
    How do you do a factory reset? I believe I did that last night, had to reinstall all of the games. I am assuming that is a factory restart.

    If no, please let me know.
