    No sound is coming from the TV when Xbox One sis on


    My Xbox has been working fine with my TV for months but rcently my Xbox keep saying my ""TV connection is set DVi"". I never change any of my settings on the TV or Xbox so I don't know why it's saying that. I tried a different HDMI but it still say's it.
    I always been using a HDMI cable to connect my Xbox to TV.

    Clearly the HDMI still works cause I see what's being displayed but I'm not getting any sound. I check my Xbox settings and now my audio is greyed out.

    I tried searching for answers but no one seems to be having the same problem as me.

    Is it possible that my Xbox THINKS my TV connection is set to DVI?

    (TV is a SAMSUNG UA-32EH4003)

    Audio issue

    G’day george! I removed the settop cable from the xbox, and there is now no sound coming from the Xbox at all when in a game. The Tv has only one HDMI cable, so I have the Settop box plugged into the Xbox and the Xbox plugged into the TV. But again, No

    HDMI Audio & Optical Audio

    Both the HDMI Audio and Optical Audio is set to "Stereo Uncompressed" in my XBOX Settings Menu.

    Yes, I have tried connecting the Sound Bar to my TV. I don't have an Optical Input on my TV, so I used the Red / White RCA cables. The Sound Bar does not work from the TV - because it is not on the same HDMI input.

    (I have 7 inputs on my TV: XBOX One is on Input 7, and my cable box is on Input 8. The RCA Inputs are on Input 4.) When I connect the Red / White RCA cables to my cable box though, the Sound Bar works perfectly.

    This is what is confusing. HDMI sound and RCA sound is coming fine from the cable box. But, only HDMI sound is coming from the XBOX One. The Sound Bar is silent.

    Xfinity X1 and Xbox One, TV loses audio after idle time.

    i'm having the same exact issue... xfinity, viera tv, sound bar with optical from tv.... all xbox one sounds work after idle... but TV sound won't come on unless I reboot the xbox.

    very frustrating to have to reboot the xbox before watching TV every time

    What did you have to do with your TV if you don't mind me asking bc mines doing the exact same thing and I think it's the TV. I was able to hear prior with another TV.

    I can’t switch the audio to my headset besides game chat in mw2 or anything the system it’s self makes no sound in my headphones besides chat I even paid for a app
