no sound in videos

i suddenly have no sound in videos! but in games and by using the musicplayer there is no such a problem.

Please help me...thanks

For some reason I'm suddenly getting no sound when playing youtube videos. It's fine until I start the youtube app and then bam, nothing.

Any ideas what could be causing this?

I suggest you to delete the you tube app, clear the console cache and download the you tube app again:

Here’s how:

From the Xbox Dashboard, go to Settings, and then select System.

Select Storage.

Select your primary storage device.

Select Games and Apps.

Find and select any items that refer to the app.

Select Delete.

To clear the system cache. Press the Guide button on your controller, go to Settings, and select System Settings. Highlight any storage device, and then press Y on your controller. (It doesn't matter which storage device you select; the cache will be cleared
for all storage devices.)

Return to the Xbox Dashboard.

Go to Apps, and then select Browse Apps.

Browse or search for the app.

Select the app to redownload it.

..sooner i changed to 740p and the sound returned..so i switched back and i still had sound, but after starting the video from Bioshock Infinite episode 2 bla bla...bam sound disappear...this time the "trick" from before doesn´t worked :-(

...hmpf i tried to disable the display discovery...still...no sound , not even the starting jingle..but the system soundeffects are working..also the games and music from the hard drive. Next i changed my HDMI-cable...also no luck

I am also having this problem, I downloaded Spiderman on Xbox video and I can't get the sound to work. I do not know how to delete and download again. Getting aggravated.

Hey there, to reset your display settings try:

Reset the console display settings

If the display problem is still not resolved, reset the display settings of your console. Here’s how:

1.Remove any discs from the disc tray.

2.Turn off the console.

3.Turn on the console.

Note If you are using an Xbox 360 Wireless Controller, turn on the console by using the Guide button on the controller. Make sure that you use the player 1 controller when you do this. The player 1 controller will have the upper-left light illuminated.

4.As the console starts, on the controller, press and hold Y while pulling the right trigger. The display settings are reset to the default settings, and then the console automatically restarts.

I can't really check my settings because I don't have a display. And my cable isn't the Xbox HD component cables, so I don't have the switch.

And I've tried the solutions for no video at least 10 times each. I don't get why it's not putting out HD. My system is like 3 days old and I'm currently getting HD output on my PS3 with these cables. I was gonna plus my cables in and do a Factory Reset,
but I don't really know how to do that.

I even reset my TV back to factory settings and re-did the initial setup using my standard definition cables, but to no prevail. Just a black screen and no errors.

I can't help you but at the same time I am experiancing the the same situation. So hopefully someone could answer your question for the two of us and any body else that is having the same problem.
