    No sound in my headphones?


    I went out of town for a week, came home to play a few rounds and have no sound and a crossed out microphone in the top right corner of my home screen. I use turtle beach headphones that plug directly into my remote with. 3.5mm jack. I went through all
    my settings, plugged and unplugged my Xbox and wiring to and from my monitor, replaced the batteries in my remote. Not sure what else to do. Can anyone help me?

    I found the problem!

    When I use my headphone than the sound do not work, but when I don't use my headphone

    Then the sound works perfectly.

    I have no sound at all in my headphone. only when im long pressing a button on the adapter for my headphones. and im using the xbox stereo headset.

    The audio setting is set to windows sonic for headphones.

    ^^ second that! Sound with a good set of headphones is so much more of an immersive experience. Especially since I have to keep my sound low to not wake my wife or sleeping baby, so headphones offer a much better experience for me.

    Does the monitor not have a headphone jack? My solution is using HDMI in to my monitor, sound through the HDMI, and audio out (3.5mm) of the headphone jack to my headset station.
